  1. That's a good idea there must be some exceptions for bereavements. I really can't see the point of making documents travel half way round the world and back again when they only need to travel a few miles down the road.

I would also suggest that you provide photos of your daughter and any relevant paperwork plus the expired passports to back up your plea, as they will need some proof to act in such cases, as much as possible to endorse your plight.

  2. My sincere condolences to you and your daughter. It is worth trying to get hold of your local MP as this is not a normal application for a renewal of an expired UK passport, but one for a child to be re-united with her father under such tragic circumstances. That she was born and has lived in the UK and has a UK passport albeit expired, together with your concerns over her current welfare is proof of an emergency entitlement to entry documents, an expired UK passport should be shown in person to your MP who should make the appropriate plea for assistance via the FCO for passport renewal/ entry document to enable your child to come back to the UK ASAP.

Most MP's run a 'surgery' or have a local agent to pass on cases such as yours.

  3. I would imagine that the UKBA has tasked a 'case worker' who is currently looking into your wife's application for ILR, I would imagine that you have not heard anything since it's submission, hence contacting your MP and making this post, have any circumstances changed since she was granted limited leave to remain, how long have you been waiting...??

  4. False numbers...cooked books...tricky wording all are used by Thai officials. It is VODOO MATH.

Just ask a Thai taxi or bar girl why they are so sad and they will give you the true story. "NO CUSTOMERS...NO FARANG"!

Causes in decline are not about Egypt ...Libya...Japan...Oil etc!

Causes are Red shirt Riots...strong Baht...jet ski scams...tuk tuk scams...Natural Deaths at same hotel and Thai politics ALL smeared throughout the internet.

We Can Read And Make Better Travel Plans!

Thailand you are going backwards in the modern world.

So right, plus when the lads go to Pattaya, (reasonably behaved ones) which are a good source of income the persecution of bar owners in Pattaya with many checks on staff and farang.at night with many BIB, only a few Thai's arrested.:(

  5. Try Emerald Travel in London on 0044 (0) 207 312 1700 ask for Far East Asia Dept, then for Sasi. She is Thai, she has arranged flights for me at cheapest rates with Eva and Thai Airways plus any inter-connecting flights. She sends you the e-ticket, the card holder does not have to be physical present to fly. I arranged my stepson to fly, she quoted me cheapest for travel from Thailand to UK over other agents. Highly regarded by Thai community in London :)

  6. If you need company because you can't stand you're own, then look for a good looking Thai girl (speaks Engrish) that doesn't work in a bar and set yourself a challenge, it isn't expensive, you can trundle around looking in travel agents, restaurants, reception centres etc. for a nice girl who works during the day and off at night and try your luck, or go to English themed pubs like Queen Victoria in Soi 6 for male chat with farangs, or book an organised trip to somewhere where you'll be in a Group, so you can try something new with a load of others, for that try the travel agents again...!! They'll tell you what's on etc. so there can be lots of opportunities to do something else completely new and something to really look forward to...!! Good Luck...!!

    ..........;)

  7. The Home Office Public Enquiry Office at Croydon do a fast tracked same-day service. That is if you have passed 'Life in the UK Test' or completed the necessary Course.

see which is a firm, one of many who you can email who will explain the SET (M) forms required fees etc.

You must be quick to complete the necessary forms for the UKBA and return them in time :)

  8. I fully understand the Father wishing to alert others as to the dangers when visiting Thailand. May his daughter, and the others who died Rest in Peace with my condolences to him and the families of the others who have tragically died at the 'Downtown' establishment.

There is no doubt that the local authority should have held a Public Enquiry into these Sudden, violent, unexplained and unexpected deaths; however, it appears that there is no adequate legal mechanism for these holiday makers who died, together with that of a Canadian who recently died at the same Downtown Hotel.

Whilst there appears to be no Judicial Authority or even a basic Infrastructure to co-ordinate the various agencies, Thai Police, forensics experts, Post Mortem results from a suitably quailified Medical Examiner in order to ascertain the exact cause of death and any contributory factors.

Foreign Embassy's should also put on Political pressure to ensure that a legitimate and satisfactory conclusion is reached as to the causes of these untimely and definitely linked deaths.

  9. It seems you are dreading moving out of your 'comfort zone'; let me reassure you that there is no breakdown of law and order in the UK. Like Thailand use common sense as to where you go and when in the UK. Your wife and children will be pleased to meet your parents and no doubt vice versa, so plan and enjoy your trip...!!!:)
