500 baht the last time I was at Mai Sai. I saw the Burmese border control refuse $10 American bills, so I didn't even bother offering American cash. Chiang Mai to Mai Sai by first class air con bus was about 600 baht return. Trip took about 4 to 5 hours one way. Short stop at Chiang Rai on way up and back. 20 baht from Mai Sai bus station to the border by red bus.
Cheers Ian my wife is just going out to get the bus tickets, she looking forward to the shopping and I have almost finshed my druyfree fags

The Burmese (39th) are happier than the Thais, it appears.
The junta are having a jolly time of it. As this free poll of its citizens shows.
This poll has to be bullsh!t there is noway anyone can believe that the burmese are happier than thais the people that made this poll must have sh!t for brains or in a coma for the last 30 years

Many Thai companies have scholarships for students and there are a few foundations. However, they will not pay for a intenational school and you seem to be able to afford a normal Thai school.
If teachers are interested we can make a list of where students can apply for a scholarship as pinned topic.
Not a teacher Mario2008 but I think it would be great to have this info pinned many of us here on thaivisa have large families ,out of my extended family I would say two girls show signs that with the right school they could excell at anything the all boys have been spoiled rotten over the years some of the parents have paid a lot of money to get them into the better schools what a waste of money just because they are boys

But i fear that it is possible that they may gain a few more seats and MP's
I have seen over the last few years racism on the increase from the teenage element of the uk.
Some it seems cannot diffirentiate between countries of origin, My wife was intimidated outside a shop and called paki scumbag by some louts. (she is thai)
It seems that if you are dark skinned in the uk you could be in a no win situation. (in some areas)
This was northeast uk.
Please use the word England, north east UK is where I live in Scotland my wife has lived here two years now no problems so far
