The forensic tooth-brushers will no doubt back this by comparing their combined populations to that of UK. I'll await their findings...

Gawd, even Prauyth outshone Boris on this one. That’s saying heaps...(and extremely worrying).

Garbage. Just because the rioters were taking a water break after 48 hours of strait riots and looting and arson does not mean it was peaceful and lawful, nor does it mean they can block traffic and people for days on end either.
So how are your rugged citizen milita types with their ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ flags and their uzis supposed to overthrow a tyrannical government?
Ask for permits first before they march on the White House to take it over?

Sorry, you wouldn't be allowed in.
Not even when Boris gives me free movement in one of your only trade deals you are getting this side of 2025?
No rush, more than happy to be getting one of your pensions as part of my retirement portfolio. Thanks for the free cash.

The right to an uzi is more important the right to breathing while being arrested. Maybe its time to update the Miranda rights?

"So if my blond haired blue eyed daughters who all happen to have Thai ID cards get in, is it still racist fellas?"
How would they be allowed in? They are not Thai if they are blonde and blue-eyed. They don't say on the sign, those with Thai ID cards, they say only Thai, meaning Thai race. In contrast to all other peoples, ie. foreigners.
So you have no argument.
The are Thai speaking Thai citizens.
Tell me how they aren't Thai?

great! assuming this extends to leuk-krung with dual citizenship. I.e they will no longer have to choose as Thai nationality is irreversible...right? lol
No one has ever 'had' to chose. It was always voluntary.

Well, I guess if they aren't earning enough to pay taxes, there won't be enough in the treasury coffers after effectively subsidising tax minimising 'Singapore on Thames' corporates for their OAPs to be paid.

So strange that the flag wavers are so enamored by Singapore on Thames, given it will lead to their country being filled with people they apparently despise.

Singapore on Thames, here we come. The added bonus is that the EU and the Europhiles will hate it, so it will be highly amusing when they finally realize we're serious about telling them to shove their level playing field up the chocolate starfish ????.
Haven't you gotten the memo? Its Hong Kong on Thames now, with the 3.5million Overseas British now coming your way!

What are the implications for male Luk Krungs? Does this mean that they will all have to take part in the military lottery at age 20?
They've always been obligated to living in Thailand, unless they've been exempted having done the Ror Dor.

They never could have checked incoming goods, since despite the years of delay the government never lifted a finger even to begin to develop the facilities and personnel necessary to undertake border checks. However, it is a requirement of the WTO that if the UK does not check incoming goods from the EU they cannot check them from any country. So, regaining control of the borders means having no control of the borders. Good work, Boris!
Well said.

Depends how long ago - being a woman married to a foreigner generally meant that pre 1992. The rules have changed and as it stands your daughter is a natural born Thai.

Not exactly they can use the id card to selectively discriminate you having one proves little.
Your post makes no sense. A Thai ID card holder qualifies for entry. Doesn’t matter what they look like. I’ve gone there lots of times, always gotten in for free.

And, in the unlikely event that these foreigners want to travel on a "The Transport Co." bus (a state enterprise), they will be refused a seat.
Thais returning from the same countries, and having to undergo the same quarantine, will be permitted to travel on "The Transport Co." buses.
Thais who have not left the country during this covid pandemic can travel on these buses. Foreigners who have not left the country will be refused a seat.
Okay, it's a rather petty issue which doesn't affect many of us "dirty foreigners", but it can't be denied that this is discrimination (by a state enterprise) solely on the basis of nationality.
Calm down tiger, I agree with you.
I was simply making the point that eligible foreigners have been allowed back into Thailand in recent weeks based on personal knowledge of a couple who have.
