I dont think many foreigners success to make actualy money in thailand and achieve what I achieved in thailand despite the enviroment and the hard work.

I can live off the money in my country..but I'm relativly young and have the power and willing to put hard work same I did with the first business.

In general I would not advice people to start being "entrepreneurial" in Thailand unless they already did so

in their home country and then only if they know their business. Do you ?

extra income for an exsist business(2 years) making 50K a month.(investment of 400K+).

Me and the wife will not operate the business by ourself , we'll hire workers to be at the shop that we'll make as the business that we already have need to take care and operate all day.

If the business can make same the exist business we have already I will be very very happy. I dont think and not expect to make a fortune from the other business.

You mistake about few things:

-Old farang that no need to work to make income are smart ??maybe they were dum track drivers all their life and then at the age of 55 can let their back a break.. ??

Its absolutly a good option.

My only problem is that I prefer auto gear for 2 reasons:

I regullar drive on the left side (same in america,the opposite side).

and I can be more focus on driving with automatic gear ..

update:

I pluged off the d-link switch and pluged it on . now I have internet.

What is that mean? the switch "stucked" or what?

I have to say that the switch is turn on 24 hours a day and older then 1 year.

The configuration are the automatic that windows give when install the windows..means detect automatic (right?...).

Fixed IP ? I dont think so..its a tt&t 1024/512 speed. regullar line./private customer.

I have 3 pc connect together with D-link switch.

the other pc's working just fine have internet but just sometimes(happand 3 times this week) have this messege :

"there is an IP address conflict with another system on the network".

but still can use internet.

TODAY- I cant use the net already 2 hours BUT its only my pc that can use internet.(!)

What do u think can be the problem? I checked and changed the cable its still the same, also I restarted the modem.NADA. same..

SUNBELT ANSWER:

The extension of stay based on marriage for new applicants after Oct 1st 2006) requires 40,000 Baht per month.

If you are getting 15,000 Baht per month, your wife needs to make 25,000 Baht per month.

This means the shop has to do 1,000,000 Baht per year. You then can deduct 70% under Thai tax law as deductions, without any receipts. (Remember this is for a self employed shop…sole proprietor)

Deductions of 30,000 Baht as a single taxpayer (you will be claiming yourself on a separate tax filing)

Net assessable Income is 270,000 Baht

Total personal income tax is 17,000 Baht (1-100,000 is 0%, 100,001- 270,000 is 10%)

Your personal tax would be

Salary per month of 15,000 Baht times 12 = 180,000 Baht

Less for expense for taxpayer 40% of income but no more than 60K) 60,000

Less for Single taxpayer 30,000

Total is 90,000 Baht

Tax owed is zero

In this case, in order than for you to get a work permit and an extension of stay based on marriage. The tax would be 17,000 Baht per year and you would both would show proof of a combined income of 40K per month.

No gross sales tax of 15,000 Baht exist as you are pointing out. It is 17K to the wife and that is it in this case. Remember this is a sole proprietorship, so the wife only gets taxed on net income once unlike a Limited Company.
