  1. Why don't you open the Vaio and take out the hard disk and put it in an external HD case (buy at panthip). Then you can access it from your other computer .. and you'll also have an external hard disk to use.

That is the best solution. You could go to panthip and ask to have them transferred onto a terrabyte but they will charge you 1500-2000 baht for the tb and the file transfer.

  2. Can someone explain what all the fuss is about Vettel overtaking Webber? Surely as triple world champion he is entitled to defend his crown. If there's one person in F1 who should be given certain privileges, its got to be him?

  3. Yeah, you certainly get those. I find that you have to keep one eye on traffic, and one eye on spaces that appear, as sure enough someone will dive into a space that appears, they won't necessarily see you.

I went along Sukhumvit twice last week. The section between Ploen Chit and Nana was absolutely rammed. Not pleasant but not dangerous too, as nothing could move.

  4. I think that's the AIDS kicking in. Once again it has been proven by NASA and Aldi I think that their translations do contain the HIV virus.

The Bing translations I have seen are mostly gibberish, and sometimes humorous, but not normally useful unless it is a one or two word translation.

  5. But I think the majority of drivers downtown are ok, the volume of traffic means they have to have their eyes peeled. There are some that are dangerous but they account for a small percentage of those on the road. I would agree that the buses and motorcycles are your main problem though.

  6. Well if you head to the north of the city, its accessible courtesy of KampengPhet 6, that's the side road to Vipawadi Rangsit. 4 lanes, little traffic and quite a few things to see, good surface as well. It will take you all the way from the backside of Mo Chit Mai to Rangsit and beyond. I always see lots of cyclists on it as Vipawadi takes 90% of the traffic. Very nice road to cycle along. Basically, its the other side of the train tracks to Vipawadi.

  7. I think more needs to be said here. There have been lesser known clubs in the past that didn't opt for pre-mixed main stream nonsense, and didn't really take off because of it, and there have been places which did and kept going for some time, Lucifers obviously springs to mind here. There were others who invested serious money in BKK, such as the Ministry of Sound, only to fold within a year or two. Until we know more about the dj, his style and set, I suspect you are taking a risk in turning up.

  8. HI guys, I started entering the city on my bike about a month ago and generally enjoy it. However, I went to visit a friend the other day and went along a section of Praram 9. It was a pretty unpleasant experience I can tell you as the way the expressway joins up with it makes it very difficult for cyclists in places. I was wondering if anyone could mention any other roads downtown that cyclists should try to avoid.

  9. Gadoy is a Khmer word for the female private part 'tem', I am assuming is full, the first word is difficult to be sure, depends on how its said. The meaning could be idiomatic, someone else will have to answer that.

  10. You may have won the battle mate, but the war is a different story, as you are fighting on her territory. Sorry to hear that your partner has turned into a bit of a nutter. It sounds like she doesn't care about your children at all, if she did, she wouldn't expose them to such things I'm sure.
