Yes, very good.

I believe that means rocking/swaying, but its the word for the sudden jolts/shunts -usually when stopping- that I want.
-
Hi all, the jolting/shunting motion that trains make when they stop, particularly, in this country is best described by which word in Thai?
-
Flown with them about a dozen times, they are good but I think its pushing it a bit to say they are a 5 star airline, as the cabin crew are generally inexperienced. Doha airport cannot handle large volumes of traffic, which can make even a short stopover difficult. Anyway, if the flight's 200 quid cheaper, I'd take it.

I will be in Nong Khai. I am aware of the fact that ther e a number of options but wasn't sure which bus station to go to. I also don't know the name of the bus station just out of town, which complicates matters. If someone could offer it I would be grateful. So just to reiterate, it is the station out of town that's my best option right?

Hi all, I was thinking of takin a bus from Nong Khai to Vientianne. Could someone advise on costs and time of departure. I already have visa in hand, so no paperwork detours will be required.

Could I just ask, regarding the border pass. Can children accommodate Thai's? We have a small baby and have not yet got any documentation other than the birth certificate and registration. I was told that I needed a passport for our child but that doesn't seem right. We will only be in Laos for a few days.

Will be interesting to see how it turns out. Always thought the old venue was a bit small and pokey.

It's snow joke that I'd like to try it. It is from China but that doesn't mean its bad. TsingTao is alright. I just wondered if anyone had seen it on sale in BKK
-
According to the BBC, the world's most popular beer is called Snow beer, with some 57 million barrels a year being churned out but I've never seen it on sale in Thailand. Is it on sale does anyone know? I would like to try it.

There are two bike shops on chaeng wattana that I cna personally recommend. For road bikes, they mostly sell fuji between 15-25000. One of them is called Let's Bike by Goro you can find it on facebook quite easily, just type in lets bike by goro.

I would love to play but I'm a beginner and I'm in the other end of town, however, I do have access to free tennis courts if someone was in the north of the city and wanted to play then I would be up for it.
-
It can also save you gas/petrol, which in turn saves you money. So many times, I went off the beaten track up north to places where roadsigns in English are rare to say the least. Had I not been able to read Thai, I would have got lost so many times.

Well actually, I was thinking of taking a secon d train to thanaleng and then biking it from there. Presumably, the laotians are okay about this as I've never seen the train from nong kai to thanaleng full

What's the procedure for taking a bicycle on an overnight train? I was thinking of taking my bike to Laos. Is there any additional fees I should be aware of?

namuskaar , or something like that, is the restaurant at the beginning of soi 8 on the left down a tiny sub soi. I have eaten there a few times having been taken there originally by a couple of my Indian colleagues . it may look a bit shabby but the food is very good top 3 Indian in BKK for me.
Have you been there recently? I hear rumours that they've lost the chef and the place has gone downhill. Several people saying that, hopefully they're wrong.

Did you find the whole process stressful?

But are you sure นังกบ can be translated as Mrs.Gob?

Much appreciated, hopefully I will find the closest expression to 'a bun in the oven', or any slang expression that can be used generically and not one that is negative. Thanks for the input though rgs2001uk
Given that the Thai's like their buns 'pork buns' and so on, there must be something similar.
-
It's slang/colloquial terms I am after rather than literal interpretations thanks.
-
Does the slang term 'a bun in the oven' to denote pregnancy exist in Thai? If not, can anyone think of what the Thai's use instead.
Thanks

Its been talked about for years. Perhaps it will happen one day but maybe not this millennium.
