I have to do a 90 day report tomorrow at Chamchuri Square. It's been a long while since I went in person. Plan to get there for 9am (when it opens, I think).
Sorry for the question, but what is required when actually notifying in person? Copies of passport? Photo? I'm guessing the TM47 form? Anything else?
Thank you for any assistance. J
At MTT all they asked for was my application form (TM47), see my passport and take my old 90 day slip. I brought photos, passport copies, and copies of old 90 day report and TM6. They didn't even look at those things and handed them back. My strategy is always bring everything just in case.

Relatively painless, when I got there there at 8:15 there were already 160 people ahead of me, but the queue moves rather quickly and I was all done and dusted by 9:45. By the time I left there were probably 300 people waiting.
I have the online system as well, took forever to get it working and was able to use it twice before it broke. I think they prefer it this way, can scrape more 2k from more people. Someone somewhere is getting rich!

Checking to see if the 90 day check in is open as of now. If so need to head to MTT tomorrow. Just thinking with lockdown if it will be open or they give a grace period.

Once the authorities start to introduce a 'points system' and confiscation of the drivers's license for multiple traffic infractions, it may make many drivers think twice about breaking the traffic law. And it is on the way!
I thought there was a points system?

Take better care of your pets. They should not be left outside unattended, just like children.

They are not making decisions at all, just doing what 'feels' good. Because of their underdeveloped prefrontal cortex they are unable to consider whether their impulses should be second guessed, thus they just do whatever they want without checking in and deciding it is smart or not.

Dreamer!
The Middle school across the street from my village has a lineup on the side of the road of about 200 or so motorbikes and scooters, all driven to school by 12-15 year olds. Plenty of police in the morning managing traffic. Nothing questioned. I understand that the infrastructure for transportation of students sucks and many of the kids don't have many options but they are all riding illegally and nobody does anything about it. Over the years I have lived here coming home from work I have also seen at least 5 bad accidents involving students.

bicycles instead of motorbikes will add to the air quality improvements. making specials bicycle lanes and change all in favor of bicycles works as we see on many places around the world
Good idea except for the 9 months a year it is over 100 degrees and over 80% humidity all freaking day long.

Where are the stats and research that shows that it's mostly car drivers who kill motorcycle riders, and what percentage of motorcycle riders deaths can be contributed directly to their actions?
My wondering as well. I would say 90% of motorcycles also cause the accidents, from my 25 years experience driving here and being surrounded by little 'boys' of all ages having fun on their 'toys' out in the streets.

Vast vast majority, like 95% of the deaths are caused by reckless motorcycle riders. I'm driving every day and am constantly dodging bikes zipping in front, behind, to the idea of me, making restless passes. I feel like I am constantly coddling little boys on dangerous bikes.

Hi all
Yeah got in line 7:30, by 8:15 the 50 people hd already been used up, so get there early. All my documents in order, and they gave me a 2nd queue card - for one month from now when I will go in to take the photo and get license. In hindsight I should've gone to a smaller DLT I guess with smaller lines but at least I know the whole process is over and I just have to wait for the product now.

Do you have a certificate of residence from Immigration to confirm your address? (Or a work permit or yellow house book)
You can probably do it at any DLT branch in Bangkok.
Oh also, for your info, the new work permits do not have your address in them, so cannot be used. So if you have the new WP you still have to get the residence certificate.

Hi Yep, I have everything ready (got it from immigration, took two weeks to deliver to the house). My driving school confirmed I have all documents. I've decided I will go to the Jatuchak DLT just to be safe, as it states that Bangkhen is under its jurisdiction. I'm just trying to be as efficient as possible in getting this done....time is $$$ for me. There is no clear info on whether I can do it at any DLT or not. If I could, I would get in Pathumthani but I am not in that jurisdiction.
