"He added that the artist was now in good spirits and had already been contacted for a designing job by a clothes manufacturer who was impressed with the artist’s talent."  I must be missing something is this painting.  To me looks like something my 12 year old nephew would draw.

I kind of agree.  It's alright, but hardly technically that good.  Also who knows if anyone actually paid 600K....maybe, or maybe just a way to help her not lose face?  Thai culture is hard to understand sometimes.

My God your dogs speaks as well!!  Can he say Mioew too?

I am astounded beyond the fact both your cat and dog are fluent in Thai, that you have a dog (and I assume a cat) that both understand the complex concepts of religion, nationalism, and the socio economic arguments that surround the issues of pet ownership.

If I was being cynical, which I am not, I would think that you are super imposing your own Donald Trumpesqe views using your dog and cat as unwitting accomplices. But that would be cynical and cruel of me to think you would do such a thing to your pets. You being a good buddist and all that.

I look forward to seeing you pets on Thailands got Talent. Please do not disappoint.

I can't reply anymore to Yinn's weirdness.  If he/she/it is actually Thai, it is a strange message I am receiving.

    It not talk about Buddhism.

But, sure, Buddhist don’t kill the pet.

    in the Christian USA...

Each year, approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed every year because shelters are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes.

If you ask my cat “what you want, let you free or kill you?” My cat will say freedom better.

    My cat the Buddhist.

The Christians on the other thred want to kill the Buddhist soi dog also.

    Such Christian compassion!!!

Sending the family pet out to the wild where they will starve, get hit by a car, or die of a disease is not very compassionate.  In the States for sure they have kill shelters, it is sad.  Here the kill shelter is abandoning your pet on the road.

    Melodramatic twaddle.

Tend to agree.  the TM30 is a pain but I have always found it super simple living here, providing you are following the rules as stipulated by whichever visa you have chosen to live here under.  The only thing is the time it takes away from my working day to process, but it is not that bad and if it is going to catch some people trying to cheat the system then I am ok with it.

Never filled out the form , and never been asked to pay a fine, Jomtien immigration.
    10 years in Thailand.

Same here, but i got it two weeks ago as my visa was coming up.  Even doing my 90 reporting a few weeks ago they did not ask.  But it was the first thing they wanted to see when I was renewing my visa.  It's on!  Changwattana imm. must be making over 100K a day on TM30 fines....it is a goldmine.  It is actually going to police - they are the one issuing the 800 baht fine.

  6. If you use a Google ID then everything can transfer over no problem.  If not then I am sure the people at the shop will be able to help you.  I used Samsung for awhile before movie to iPhone...love iPhone and see no reason after 8 years to use another.  I have only had 2 iphones n that time.
