  1. Yes I was seeing it on Twitter long before the likes of the BBC picked it up. When stories don't fit their narrative of multi cultural utopia they tend to wait to see if it all blows over before exposing the cold hard reality to the masses that fund their leftist political agenda. Unfortunately for them it didn't blow over this time. Quite the opposite. It blew up. Good luck to the French people.
  2. Straight from the left wing authoritaion playbook. Ultimately this was down to the opinion/decision of unelected judges reversing the decision of a democratically elected government. Unelected people in positions of power going against the will of the people and the government they elected. Not unlike a banana republic. Shameful.
  3. Judges over ruling the elected government. How democratic.
  4. Good to see this finally reaching the MSM. They delayed reporting on it as long as they could Good luck France. Diversity is their strength. I'm sure Macron will step up to the plate and own/fix this mess.
  5. Complete tosh. If you interview 3 people and think they are all equally suited for the job then you shouldn't be interviewing. I interview all the time and at the end have a list of pluses and minuses on various aspects of their character and capability. The idea that I would sink to the level that race became the deciding factor is abhorrent to me. Both as a professional and as a person.
  6. My link showed plenty of reasons. Did you even read it? If you don't believe me talk to the designer. Oh wait a minute...
  7. Not sure what a posit hat is but maybe a tin foil hat would be more appropriate for your bizarre conspiracy theories. They are implementing the policy gradually to avoid a huge reaction from the woke MSM. Give it time. As long as Labour stay in the wilderness we will move in a positive direction. Labour would simply open the gates while back slapping at Islington wine parties.
  8. They could have stayed in France. Perfectly safe. But no, not enough benefits there. They might have to work. So they threw the dice. The lure of benefits Britain was too strong. Decisions have consequences. They would be fine in Rwanda. Just avoid the hotspots and it's no issue. More MSM hype. They might have had to work for a living in Rwanda though.... that danger has passed thanks to British taxpayers. Economic migrants playing the system. Meanwhile British servicemen rot homeless on the streets.
  9. They didn't arrive from Rwanda. That would have been a hell of a trip in a dinghy. They are economic migrants looking to exploit the idiocy of the champagne socialists virtue signalling from their ivory towers.
  10. Pathetic. This type of nonsense plays into the hands of far right groups. Time to enforce sensible immigration policies like The East is doing. No wonder the East is surging ahead of the West with this type of idiocy. Stop pandering to the left wing woke mob. Implement a sensible policy an enforce it.
  11. I'd have thought Phuket was up there. I've had quite a few dicey landings there. Even if the plane lands OK you've got the taxi mafia to deal with.
  12. Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but in case any readers think that is correct I think it's best to confirm that some green snakes are not harmless, including the green pit viper which can be found here in Thailand and could easily be confused with the golden tree snake. Whilst rarely fatal, you wouldn't want to be bitten by one.
  13. Many reasons. https://www.formguru.co.in/2023/06/carbon-fiber-submarine.html#:~:text=Carbon fiber is more brittle, catastrophic failure of the submarine. Hardly. The nose cone is intact and the part of the hull/tail appears over 2 metres long. Which given the length of the sub to start with, means that's a pretty large section.
  14. They're like a comedy act. Laurel and Hardy. The 2 Ronnies ????. It would be interesting to know which one is lying. My guess? Both.
  15. It does seem a very strange choice of material. Even a layman like myself would expect steel or titanium to be used. The passengers must have been very brave/foolhardy. I even pulled out of a decision to buy carbon fibre wheels for my motorbike because I had visions of them collapsing if I hit a pothole at high speed. I certainly wouldn't get into a carbon fibre tube and then sink to the bottom of the ocean in it. Still, their life, their choice. If you want to make an omelette you have to crack some eggs. Risk is part of innovation in a field like this.
  16. It's not 7 years though is it? We left in 2020 just as the pandemic struck. Imagine back then if we'd predicted that just 3 years later Germany and the Eurozone would be in recession while the UK outperformed it by avoiding recession. We'd have been laughed out of the room. Yet here we are. Incredible turnaround for the UK, and this is just the start. I must say I expected the benefits of Brexit to take much longer to materialize but I am very happy it has started so soon.
  17. So do it on means testing then. Not race. You do realize that poor white people exist, as do rich black people. Your ideas are so out of date it's unreal. Removing this racist practice is long overdue.
  18. Good to see that this discriminatory practice has been stopped. A wise man once said "I have a dream that my four little children one day will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character". Using race as a factor in college admissions is a disgraceful act of racism.
  19. Look on the bright side, at least he didn't fall over as he stumbled away taking those short little steps.
  20. Old figures. Vinny already corrected you. The EU has been working on a trade deal with Thailand for decades. Given the way the EU negotiates I can't see it happening within the next 10 years. Anyway, that's their problem. We're out of the corrupt federalist project and our economy is growing, unlike theirs .
  21. Yes, the only thing expanding except for GDP ????. https://www.dailyfx.com/news/forex-gbp-breaking-news-uk-economy-expands-0-1-in-q1-of-2023-gbp-usd-bid-20230512.html
  22. "Expected" lol. We all know how people love to talk down the UK economy before the real figures prove them wrong. It's a national sport. https://theconversation.com/uk-economy-why-the-bank-of-england-is-now-more-upbeat-than-the-imf-205670 Back in the real world, it is the EU with the real problems. https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-olaf-scholz-europe-eurozone-slipped-into-recession-and-everyone-should-be-worried/ Must be tough to read after bleating about what a disaster Brexit was going to be.
  23. Why are you comparing it to 2019? The UK has made huge strides since then. Left the EU, signed loads of trade deals etc. From your link, here is more recent data. UK has growth. EuroZone is in recession. Germany, the powerhouse of the EU is in recession. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/german-business-sentiment-falls-further-june-2023-06-26/ Doesn't seem like all the doomsday predictions are coming true. Well, not for the UK anyway...
  24. Ahhh. Another Brexit bonus. Free from EU rules and regulations and able to make our own partnerships. I believe the EU's attempts at closer ties to Thailand have been floundering for years. But we all know how long it takes for that monolithic organization to move. I guess that's why the EuroZone is in recession while the UK has avoided it. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/08/economy/eurozone-recession/index.html It seems Brexit was a cliff edge after all. Just not for the UK.
  25. Interesting. All reports I read had indicated that the vessel would have been completely crushed from the massive implosion, yet here we have very large pieces being recovered, ostensibly with some human remains inside. The nose cone was pretty much intact as well. Hopefully with such large pieces recovered they will have a better chance of working out what happened.
