Went today to the immigration office of Lopburi.

They have no problem to grant an extension as long as it is not more than one year. 1 year or less is OKay.

I have a similar problem. I have to go to immigration tomorrow (90 days) and will ask if I can extend for less than 365 days.

How debit cards work (with Kasikorn bank):

Yesterday I had to make a payment and used me debit card. Rigth after the vendor had entered the amount I got an SMS from Kasikornbank that it was already deducted from my account! I hadn't signed the payment slip yet, worse, it was still printing ha ha.

I wrote to Kasikornbank regarding the limit of 50K :

Today I wanted to pay an invoice of more the 100K using Cyber banking.
I learned that the transaction amount is limited to 50K
So I did my payment in three times: 50K + 50K + remainder.

A bit silly don't you agree?

If it is to prevent mistakes a simple message would be sufficient.
If it is for security reasons this "annoyance" is simply of no use.

Maybe it is to increase the profits of the bank because for each
transaction you can charge a fee.
Greedy!!

16 years ago In opened a saving account with Kasikornbank an received - payed for - an ATM card.
And every year Kasikornbank charged me 500 Bath for the pleasure of using the card.

Last week this card got stuck in an ATM machine. Luckily I was able to retrieve it. A plastic layer came lose. Time for a replacement. After 16 years using the same card this should not be a problem (I thought).

I was in for a couple of surprises. The ATM card is now replaced by a Debit card. Price : 700 Bath

But if you open open a new account the card will cost you only 300 Bath, if you decide for this card on the spot. Because if you opened a new account without requesting this debit card and change your mind two weeks later- though sh1t- it's 700 bath dear valued customer.

Lesson learnt:fix an aging card with glue instead of asking for a replacement.

As stated before some of the components of plastic dilute in water, not big quantities, but usually toxic.

I'm also on Gold but pay THB150/month for 7 (?) HD channels. They also have a THB500 packet with more HD channels

Channel 122 (History HD) and 163 (Fox Sport HD - formerly ESPN) are not part of the THB150 HD packet but are currently free till Feb 08 (if I'm not mistaken).

And what makes you think True is at fault? Possibly the Thai Post? for the late or never delivered mags and invoices. I always got the magazine and invoice when I had an account for 6 years. On time! Before the invoice was due. I do agree the magazine is useless to the non Thai reader.

Agree. If Thai post does its job correctly the magazine is delivered the 25th, max 27th.

Slow? I'm using Foxit PDF Reader instead of Adobe's Reader.. Adobe Reader has been removed from my system for years.

Earlier this week I was prompted by Adobe to restart my system to 'activate' their Reader. It had been (re)installed without my consent.

Even better. The default application for PDF files was already set to their reader although I still had to reboot before the application could be used.
