  1. Thanks for the reply Markie. I'm just a bit concerned that trying to re-enter the UK on the same visa may cause the same scrutiny as when she came originally. A doctor inspected her X rays, which I think is how she lost them, after a tiring flight sat them down somewhere never to be seen again! But like you say, I'm sure they can carry out screening on arrival if they doubt the copies, and can see she was permitted a few months earlier.

  2. Sorry to be a bore! I can't seem to find on the British Embassy's website/VFS about current processing times. I read them somewhere before but unsure which site. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or have had recent experience with an application would be great to hear how long it took. This will be my fiancees 4th UK visa with me as sponsor, if that would affect waiting time at all. Thanks very much,

    Fred

  3. Slightly unnerving when you hear about these things when in the midst of an application, but can't worry until there's a definite ruling. However it is nice to be able to set out a plan for the future! I found the Migration Advisory Committee's report published November 2011: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/workingwithus/mac/family-migration-route/family-migration-route.pdf?view=Binary

I see it isn't all that newer news after all,
