would you consider sending me a PM with the contact info for the visa agency you use? Thanks

1. Yes, Agoda. OK. Beware of hotels that will not refund on cancellation. Check the fine print. I didn't and paid the price.
2. Your papers are checked again. The ones that were checked at check in. Collect bags as normal. Ask to be the sole passenger in transfer vehicle during the booking process. I did and it happened. Put five bags in front seat, back seat and trunk.
Bon voyage.

if returning on a NON O retirement extension. no insurance necessary
Thanks for that info. Is that a new rule and since when has it been in effect?
Would appreciate confirmation from Ubonjoe or someone else.

As prearranged, Citrus Hotel in Pattaya sent a car to tranfer me from Suvarnabhumi airport to the hotel where I received a PCR test on arrival. All done very expertly. I did request that I would be the only passenger and there was no extra charge.

I am hoping to receive a reply from an Australian citizen who traveled from Bangkok to Australia with a RAT.
Where did you get the RAT and certificate to present at check in?
Which airline did you use and what documents did you need to present at check in?
Many thanks.

Last year I paid by using my bank app to read the QR code on the bill. I hope that it will be the same this year.

Does a policy that covers hospital expenses also cover hospitel expenses if ordered by a doctor?

I paid 7500 baht for one year but I have not made a claim so I can't offer an opinion.

Do not even understand that.
From your earlier post this.....
"Otherwise come back nearer to your next extension"...
What about folk on valid non O-A or PE visa etc.
Those are stamped in for 12 month permission of stay.
I had to get 12 months insurance from Tune for 7500 baht.

I have and am achieving that each day.
my real education started at Retirement. Thanks to You Tube I was able to learn more about Hinduism and it’s way of life. I learnt about Yogic Science after my disillusionment with medical science over 50 years ( not to say that medical science has hugely contributed to a better quality of life). But hasn’t all the answers. Learnt more about Inner Engineering and how to value each day.
cooking, recipes that I love to try out, and learning about being vegan. Markets, shopping malls and dining out. Expensive but good quality beer and wine! Admiring Thai women daily, everywhere you go!
flirting specialist. More massages for the aching bones!
daily news, sports, catching up with distant family and friends via social Media. Cricket and football I can now watch 24 hours! Plenty time to sleep when you’re dead!also do some Life- Coaching, cricket Umpiring, gardening. And some days nothing, just go with the wife to a nice restaurant in the rice fields.
Living in the present, “ what is right now is already set, it cannot be any other way “…. Sadhguru…..” all the rules are my rules “.
Yes, retirement is a great opportunity for learning. Next year I will be starting a post graduate course and living on a beautiful university campus. Happy retirement, everyone.

Dear Glob
From the way you write, you do not have dementia. If you want to confirm this, I suggest that you take the Mini Mental State Examination, which is available free online. At worst, you may have Mild Cognitive Impairment, but I doubt it. Anyway, have a shot and contact me for more information if you like.

I also recommend this free online course. It will stimulate your brain and increase your knowledge about dementia.

All the best.

Only free pcr tests are the ones in hotspots and they only sms you the results not suitable for airlines.
And the pcr test I got here at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi cost me less than my test in Australia with results in less than 6 hours.
Geez people on this site talk some bs.

Arrived at Citrus Pattaya for test and go on 7 December at 10.30 pm and got result at 9.30 am. Nurse was very gentle with the swab. Staff were efficient and friendly at check in and check out. Cheapest room was goodish. Meals, well...
Got my Thai Pass approved in 48 hours. PCR test at Sydney airport took 50 minutes.
Quick processing at Suvarnabhumi. Plenty of assistance and no confusion.
Short wait for hotel transfer. Lone passenger separated by a plastic shield from driver.
A little stressful at times because of uncertainty, but in the end, nothing to worry about.

Best to read all the fine print in case it says no refund for cancellation. I didn't.
I recommend Citrus Pattaya for honest dealing and promptness.

l was double jabbed in Kalasin local hospital and am now heading back to Australia. Anyone know where l get the vaccine passport for travel ?
Cheers

Hi Bruce
Speaking from recent experience:
The QR code on your Thai vaccination certificate is sufficient for the Australian Travel Declaration,
The check in for your flight will require hard copies of your PCR test and Thai vaccination certificate.
The yellow vaccination booklet is nice to have but not required.
The Thai vaccination certificate can be used to obtain an Australian vaccination certificate when you get there. I got mine at a chemist that does vaccinations. There is no charge for the service,
Bon voyage,

Has anyone used the test and go at Jomtien Holiday Inn?
How was the ride from the airport? Was it waiting when you arrived? Did you have to share?
How was the PCR test and how long did it take to get the result?

I received OTP from SCB by SMS while in Australia for transactions using the SCB app. There was no charge. I have a DTAC postpaid account for which I pay every month via the DTAC app.
