  1. Was planning to play a 2 times a week and wanted some suggestions of courses nearby Pattaya.  I am a member of PSC so I get reduced fee listed on their website but wanted to know which course our worth driving too as their are too many to choose from.  I will play Siam CC as the sports day cost with Caddy is about $125(inc tip)  Wanted to put that high on my bucket list as its one of Thailand finest.

Any suggestions based on your experience is greatly appreciated.

  2. I returned under the same circumstances on April 3, I live in Pattaya.  I didn't go to Jomtein Immigration until 3 weeks after and had no issues getting my verification and receipt stapled into my US Passport.  I didn't realize I needed it, as they make it very difficult for everyone. The Immigration officer upon my arrival at BKK or when I purchased my Exit Visa from the Immigration Office should of informed me of that new requirement;as last year never required my address verification !  Go figure, standards always changing and interpretation is often up to the Officiers mindset.

  3. I wanted to purchase next week a Roku 2, for better use of the smart features using my smart tv. I was hoping someone has local knowledge and has purchased either the 2 or 3 recently in Bangkok.

Curious if you can direct me as it not as readily available as a Ipad, Iphone. Your overall impression, is it worth buying to use here in Thailand?

  4. Best Italian Sausage I have found is available from S.S.Sausage Co., Ltd , Belucky Pattaya Branch. You get 10 for 230 baht. They also deliver and sell a wide range of sausages. Tel 038-422-904. They are on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ssauage

See photo of package, I have yet to find a better tasting sausage. Looking forward to your feedback

  5. Thanks for all the feedback. My finding was as follows; Continental Bakery bagels are also sold at Villa Market and they were not tasty and tasted nothing like I was hoping.

Central Mall bakery actually sold imported New York Bagels in three favors. Water, Rasin and Multi Gran for 45 baht each. They were fresh tasting and tasted like I was hoping. So there are real bagels to be purchased in Pattaya.

Compliment them at Macro as they sell Norwegian Smoked Salmon for 99 baht in the frozen section next to the whole Salmon. Or Central has they same product but it's 145 baht for 100 grams.

  6. I believe you can find vinegar on the shelves at Foodland. Call ahead to know for certain your specific blend is on the shelf. I saw a few varieties yesterday, that I'm certain!

  7. I had orthoscopic surgery done at that Hospital. It was very expensive and they charged a additional 35 percent to quoted price, agreed too. Since your insurance is not paying, I would look at the other Dr listed above my post and get a second Opionion.

In any event be sure to ask for final price, as you do not want any surprise as was in my case. It was done successfully but my Amex travel insurance footed the entire bill.

  8. I have read the many many replies. I currently subscribe to True TV gold package. I pay around 50$ dollars and when I am away from my home HDTV, I am able to stream practically every channel except for the movie Channels and one Fox Sports channel. I have HDTV quality and never have any issues receiving all my US news CNN, and mostly NBA and NFL games.

I and anyone who lives in Thailand needs to download the app Trueanywhere. This will enable you to receive these numerous channels to be seen on all your mobile devices, ie iPhone, iPad, computer, laptops or smart TV away from your home

Many expats don't use this very nice APP, so get with it and get your streaming TV on the Go.

  9. Thie information I posted is correct. The cost is 555 baht before tax and service. No better value on this planet. The crab legs looked like they were Alaskan, were as I hoped for! They had Thai style crabs, but when I returned the kitchen refilled the display with giant crab legs. Couldn't of been happy paying the tab. I might note a soda water was 90 baht and a beer was 120 baht!

  10. I'm new to Pattaya, just having purchased a condo. Last week, I joined Pattaya Expats and Pattaya Sports Club, and the founder of the Expat club answered my question! Which is the best seafood buffet?

He said "Big Fish" at hotel Siam at Siam, 6th floor.

So where did I go this Friday, yep the Seafood Buffet at the aforementioned establishment. I being a world travler have eaten at the biggest and best in Las Vegas, California Yacth Club, Marina del Rey, Ca. USA and a number of places in Thailand.

I having grown up in my Families Prime Rib establishment, honestly knows a World Class best Value Seafood Buffet, this being the one. yes they have Alaskan King Crab Legs, Fresh Oyster on the Half Sheel, fresh Shrimp, Salmon and Lamb Chops to feast on. Better yet the also have for a extra 200 baht a all y can drink wine optin. They have live entertainment and it all starts on Friday from 18:00 (6 pm).

Better yet, it's only 555 baht plus plus, so tell me where your going to go next Friday or Saturday, you will never stop Thanking me! I have never found better food at a better Value than this beautiful classy place. Plenty of beautiful High Society Thai ladies to make it even more enjoyable while you eat as good as ever in Thailand.

    Looking forward to your comments.

  11. This forum is used to ask questions ! To get insight, why not ask how best to handle this matter even if it's 16,000 Thai baht. No need to get cynical comments, I have a Mom !

I believe there is fraud if he fails to deliver the services and products. Had he delivered it in the past three weeks when he received that good faith deposit, there would be no issues. Not even a call, but on due date a lame excuse. Today I can pay a glass shop to do that job and pay upon completion.

However, since I choose to special order a large piece of tempered glass a security deposit was reasonable.

Best to give him that grace period. Then let my wife take action and get the police involved.

  12. Thanks for all the feedback! Why has no one mentioned the Thai Tourist Court which open in April 2014?

I would never myself stand in front of the merchant kiosk with a sign, but in USA I would pay someone too.

It's more the Principle of being cheated after he failed to obtain the originally agreed Black Tempered Glass.

Now I will wait and see, these suggestions are most helpful. I will see how my wife works to protect our 16,000 Thai Baht! In America I have her Back protected at all times, let's see her at work in Thailand.

I welcome the Tourist Police and the Thai Police too make matters more sever for that Indiviual, I will do my best to not Lose Face, when He defaults.

I will also like to get the Pattaya Pople and Pattaya Mail interested in this matter, to shine light on his fraudulent actions.

Keep you posted how this plays out!

  13. Last month paid a merchant to install tempered glass and sink basin glass enclosure. He had two weeks to,deliver goods and yesterday had a lame excuse!

How best to collect 16,000 baht as he says his sub contractor flaked on him! He said he needs ten day and will install items December 17.

I want my options as he was overpaid as he was too order a large black tempered glass of 10 mm and then said not available. I told him I would just have black granite cut, credit me.

Do I pay a person to stand in front of his shop outside Home works, Tesco Lotus Pattaya, stating in Thai and English that this vendor is a thief?

Hire a attorney sue him, or call the Tourist police after he defaults again?

What would you do, my wife is Thai so she can Sue him, can we get a judgement and put a lien against him

And get his car to settle the debt ?
