If all the countries in the world boycott the USA and Trump as much as possible,

will the people of the USA notice and do somthing about this outrageous guy?

Years ago, the traditional way to deal with a factious infant was a sharp slap to the back of the legs and sent to bed without milk and cookies. Come on America.... control your brat!

And the fact that they sold those rights to American companies, then took them back without agreement or compensation...

How does that figure into international law?  Should the USA take away everything we've sold to BP, Honda, Toyota and every other foreign company, unilaterally and without compensating them?

That could pay off the $36T national debt.  But I don't think it's a good idea under International Law.

The US National Debt is now 38 Trillion USD. It has increased by 2 Trillion USD under Trumps presidency. 555

It should disappear, but it could re-appear if Wise subsequently decide that they want more info from you as they did in my case.

Thanks for that.  I am hoping that I have 'satisfied' them by 'clicking the button' so I will wait and see what happens in the next few days.   The deadline was 27th October so there is a little 'wiggle' room if they do require further info.

  4. Can anyone tell me if the 'Red Banner' disappears when you have confirmed your address? If you do not confirm, does it remain?  I got the banner on Tuesday morning when I opened the Wise app.  I clicked on the banner and then on the button marked 'confirm address'.  I expected to be taken to a page where I would have to supply some more information, but nothing happened.  I closed the app and later reopened it, expecting to see the banner, but no, nothing, no mention of confirming my address.

I then logged-in to the Wise website on my laptop and there was no sign of the red banner and, again, no mention of confirming my address. I then checked my email and found one from Wise, from the previous day,  asking me to confirm my address, again with a button to press. However, the button had the text blanked out but I clicked on it and the action took me back to the 'home' page of my account.  Still no mention of confirming address.

Later in the day I received a payment to my Wise account and also made a transfer. Both actions were as normal with the transfer to Thailand being 'in seconds'. still no mention of confirming address.  Is it possible that I have confirmed simply by clicking on the 'confirm' button?  It is rather concerning as i use Wise quite often and would be 'lost' without its convenience.

    4.  The Korean and Vietnam wars

    6. The Russian Debt crisis

    7. The Asia financial crisis

    8. The Sub-Prime Mortgage financial crisis

    9. Feminism

    10. LGTBQ

    11. Falling birth rates

And the US economy will damn sure survive a few tariffs. Don't worry people. This is just lefties trying to spread malcontent. As usual.

The US has never faced a foe like Trump.  During the events you list there was never any doubt about the impartiality of the Supreme Court, there was never any issue of separation of the government and the judiciary.  The events you list are either external attacks or limited to particular sectors of the 'body' of the country.  The threat trump presents is that of a 'cancer', all pervasive and moving from 'organ to organ'.  America, and consequently the free world, has never faced such dark times.

Not sure if it is a factor but DWP pension payments are processed through Citibank.

It is most likely that your occupational pensions are paid from UK banks.

Thank for the response Hotandsticky.  I contacted UK Gov pensions by phone when my January payment did not arrive at the usual time. They told me that they prepare payments around10 days prior to deposit date so maybe the money is being moved around by Citbank prior to deposit with Wise.

Everything was running smoothly, for all pension payments, until the start of 2025 since when the UK gov pension is no longer arriving 'on time'.

  8. Thank you for the reply Moolover.  Until the start of this year, 2025, I have always received both private pension and UK gov pension a few minutes before or after 8.30am UK time. So far this year I have received my January private pensions as normal but both January and February UK gov pensions have been delayed by a few hours.  In January the UK gov pension turned up around 11.40am UK time and February payment finally arrived in Wise at 10.25am UK time.

I do not think there is a major issue and waiting a couple of hours for the money to be available is not a 'game changer' but it just seems strange that it only affects UK gov pension and only started to happen at the start of this year.

  9. I have my UK Gov. pension and private pensions paid directly to my Wise account in the UK.  Until this year the money from all pensions would be deposited in my Wise account a few minutes before, or after, 8.30am on the due dates.

My private pensions continue to be received at this time while, in January and February 2025 the money from UK gov. pension has failed to be deposited until several hours later in the day.

I contacted UK work and pensions, by phone, when the payment did not arrive on time in January as usual.   They assured me that they have changed nothing regarding the payment system and that the payments are prepared around 10 days prior to the due date for deposit.

Have any other UK government pension recipients, on the forum, had any similar issues with later arrival of UK pension payments, direct to Wise, since the start of the new year 2025?

    Thanks,

    Prem

  10. During his election campaign, Trump would regularly play the Village people song 'YMCA'  and even got the current line-up of the band to appear during his inauguration celebrations.

Back in the 1970's, Pete Townshend wrote the lyrics to his song 'Behind Blue Eyes'.  These lyrics a far more apt for the current occupant of the White House.

No one knows what it's like
    To be the bad man
    To be the sad man
    Behind blue eyes

No one knows what it's like

    To be hated
    To be fated

    To telling only lies

    But my dreams

    They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be

    I have hours, only lonely
    My love is vengeance
    That's never free

This song could be played when the current occupant of the White House makes public appearances, replacing the traditional 'Hail to the (Felon in) Chief.

You mean the cult of Not Hating Your Own Country. the Cult of Not Supporting Child Gentital Mutilation, the Cult of Not Supporting Infanticide, The Cult of Not Weaponizing the Justice System, the Cult of not Being an Anti Semite, The Cult of Colour Blind Society?

That cult? As opposed to yours?

The Cult of Paedophila, the Cult of Transgenderism, The Cult of Jew Hating, the Cult of America Hating, the Cult of Racism and the all Cult of Trump Hate?

Everytime I read your posts I am astonished that so much hate can be concentrated in one person.

"The Cult of Not Supporting Child Gential Mutilation"

Are you not aware that in the US 90% of the male population are victims of Male Genital Mutilation (MGM)? This takes place, in most cases, in the early days of the child's life.  Go figure!
