  1. So what are the requirements now for me UK national and Thai wife to return to UK. ie pcr/lateral tests, passenger locator form (online or print one out) etc.
  2. A very mixed response, mostly positive at 1st then quite a few negative one's. So with that in mind I think I will give it some more thought. Thanks for all your replies much appreciated.
  3. Are you saying michelin tyres that you use are harder and dont wear out so quickly?.
  4. I have been offered a nissan teeana 2.5xv auto high spec and low milage by a friend who is in UK and no plans to come back yet. has anyone got any advice on such a car ie problems encountered or positive answers to this make and model.
  5. update just to let you all know my doors are double glazed patio double doors not the sliding type.
  6. You are correct. The place I got them from in bangkok was sold on and the new company not helpful at all hence looking near home.
  7. Hi all, does anyone have any contact numbers of any company in Korat who deals with upvc windows/doors. I have a couple of double doors which need adjusting as they do not close properly after opening them.
  8. apologies for jumping on post but if you transfer 40.000baht monthly as opposed to 400.000 can you use the 40.000 and take it down to say 2.000 baht then transfer another 40.000 baht in one month and do same each month. Will that satisfy immigration.
  9. I found a place and booked for buffet at 595 baht per head (sima tani hotel) looks good value.
  10. I am looking for uk type xmas dinner, roast potatos turkey etc.
  11. Ok So I just arrived in korat and wish to book xmas dinner where do you recommend at such short notice.
  12. Oh I see perhaps I should get some cameras to surround my advent calendar and a dog in each window, that should stop them don't you agree.
  13. Thats more like it that was the type of comment I was looking forward to.
  14. Ok so for those who saw the funny side of my tongue in cheek post well done, for those that didn't I will explain! In UK and many other countries we have what is known as advent calendars, we open a little square which is supposed to resemble a window each day to find a little chocolate inside and you are supposed to open only one each day starting on 1st December, finishing on 25th Dec whereupon you might find a larger chocolate. So now go back and read the post and understand my warped sense of humour. (the one below only has 24 windows usually its 25)
  15. Cant believe it my best m8 in Thailand just came how to find all the windows open and everything gone! <deleted> what kind of thieving scum does that to anyone at this time of year. He called the police and all they said was it was his fault. I agreed with them and I told him he should not leave his advent calender in full view of everyone.
  16. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions when transiting via singapore (on singapore airlines) to Bangkok ie extra pcr tests etc as I seem to remember on here that someone mentioned it. sorry if wrong as getting old now lol.
  17. After all my hard work of applying for a visa and Thai pass from UK to visit family in Thailand I failed the pcr test. So now I have to isolate in UK for 10 days. I managed to put on hold my air ticket without loss albeit a £75 fee later when I give another date. I secured the Thai visa so no problem there. The ASQ have also put on hold till I again give a new date so again no problem there. But then we come to the 3 remaining problems. 1. Do I have to re-apply for a new Thai pass after my 10 days are up. or is there a way to edit it?. 2. I booked and paid for axe insurance which was reccomended on here and all was well till covid failed. I have tried numerous emails to them to find out what I should do ie change date or cancel policy but as of yet no reply and my policy is due to start on 26th Nov. also if I/they cancel it would I be refused due to me having had covid?. I plan to come to Thailand as soon as possible after isolation. 3. as far as I can understand once you have had covid it can show up positive for up to 90 days after, so when I go to my ASQ hotel and have another pcr test it will very possible be going to show positive any thoughts on what I should do about that. Sorry for long winded question but just want to prepare myself as much as possible.
  18. A friend wants to visit Thailand with his Thai girlfriend he wants to stay 90 days am I correct in telling him to apply for 60 day tourist visa then apply for 30 day extension when he gets there? or is there another or better way.
  19. Ok so thanks for peoples opinions it seems most are in agreement for me to upload my passport again so I have done this and now applied in full for my non o based on marriage. Will post update if and when successful.
  20. Not sure I agree with passport because they ask for that twice already 1st one being to simply upload it and second time upload a pic of me holding my passport. surely they don't want a 3rd
