Went to the factory today with some samples of my saparang.they say its starch is 25 % and want pay 1700 per 1ton.
As i have not found people which have time to come, i think i will give it to a guy which will take it out and deliver it on his own and he takes 600 per 1 ton.

Hi Allgäuer,
thank you for your answer.
The smaller factories here pay all nearly the same Price for tubbers(1,70)(Last month 1,80)
Dont know for sure if they check for starch .
I dont know if its better to wait another few month for harvesting, maybe without rain the tubbers dry out and may lose weight.
Really not sure what to do, but i will bring some to the factory next week and ask.

Hi,
i have about 15 rai of cassava now 13 month old. As the Price is not good now(1,70 Baht), i think about not take it out now, but wait until June/July next year.(Do the factories buy cassava in this month?)
Will it still grow bigger or does it get "too old".?

Aren't the coloured seeds coated with a fungicide or pre-treatment for other diseases?
I think thats the Point, maybe different colours from different factories?

Hi Allgäuer...( are you a "real" one??)
when the water Level in your bore hole is alltime between 5-7 meters below surface, why did you choose a submersible
pump??
Normally with this conditions, a normal water pump beside the hole(on the ground) gives better results and a better pressure for using Sprinklers.
Your PVC pipe in the hole can also reach nearly 20 meter for good water Quality.
As some Shops told me, if the water Level in the hole is deeper than about 10 meters, you need the submersible pump.

The pump draws about 2 amps when running, 440 watts, that is less than half a KWH.
440 Watt per Hour,this comes down to 117 Watt per 1 m3 water.(16 minutes for 1000 Liter)
So taking 3.5 baht per KW as a standard, it will cost approximately 40 satang to haul 1 m3 of water to the surface... If we pay 12.4 baht for 1000L using gov water, we will save 12 baht per m3. If we average 18 units of water a month, that's 216 baht of saving a month... Allgier pays 28k for the initial installation 3 years ago... his ROI is 7 more years! Not bad... Even better than solar panel investment.
Maybe Allgeier has his ROI every morning...when there is no goverment water in the pipe, and he can take shower with his own water .

Hello All, I don't know if anybody has been talking about this planter,
but the add was in my Sep Ag magazine.

I asked them about the Price......180000.- baht..

Hi FJ,
i think it must be mice, rats or something similar.
Birds dont eat it "perfectly" down to the bottom of the cob.

It's called boon khow and also known as yipsum
Most larger farm shops stock it around here. I paid 40Baht/10kg bag
better 50 kg bag for 150.- baht. Shops which sell fertilizer have it normally.

You will kill a lot of them, but not all....and these will be very angry....and attack you.
I would use some kind of "Fire thrower" with gas, like they use when they repair holes on the street to heat up the tarmac.
Thats more powerfull than the burning rag on the bamboo pole.
Also, when you destroyed it, there will be some which survived and searching for the nest, maybe start building a new one nearby.
Good Luck.

Hi Jo,
Gypsum is CaSO4 and consists of 23% Ca and about 17% Sulfur. It can REDUCE your PH if necessary, and can be useful if you are growing something that likes Sulfur.
Gypsum and/or Calcium are both good to improve soil condition.I dont know the Price for gypsum,in my opinion 100% calcium seems more economic.
We applied it after ploughing 3 disc, just before doing the 7 disc
I have something like a Plattform behind my Ford, so i can load on the bags and 2 People which threw it out.
Take care that the wind is coming from the right direction.....

If anyone wants a cheap beer then go to 7/11!
Just went to my local 7/11 in Bangkok.. up to last weekend i was paying 92 baht for 2 bottles of Leo.. Today i went and those same to bottles are 108 baht..
That's an 8 baht per bottle increase.. that's almost 20%.. that's a big increase..
Exactly it´s only 17,4 % for 2 bottles,
so for 1 Bottle only 8,7%.......
not soo much.....

is it possible to go the department in August(with the expired license) and renew it then?
Do i get again a 5 year, or must I start again as a Newbie??

But with International Flight, he arrives at Suvarnabhumi, but NOK and Air ASIA Service only from Don Mueang, so he has to Transfer to the old Airport.
If he flys in with Thai Air, the domestic flight with Thai is nearly for free, if he books through to Surat.
From Surat Airport to Samui/Nathon he shoud consider about 4 hours in total.
But he has to know, 1.April is "Songkran" period, so Little Chance for "Special Fare"
