Try HealthLand on Ekamai. Coming up from Sukhumvit it will be on your right hand side, large place with Yellow sign/flags by the street. You could walk, but taxi's are so cheap (and I'm so lazy.....).

Well, isn't this lovely. Trying to get to my apartment on Sukhumvit Soi 31 tonight, but a small mob has the police out blocking traffic coming from all directions. Fortunately the MIB were nice enough to let me and my girlfriend walk through their barricade to get home. But my taxi driver was not too impressed.

Too bad they could not set up police barriers at intersections, but at least it is peaceful !!!!!

I will be returning to Thailand later this year (my non-immigrant visa will expire), and I see that for a Tourist or Transit Visa, one of the requirements is Evidence of Travel from Thailand.

My default plan was to simply fly into Bangkok and get a 30 day Transit Visa, and then within 30 days take a trip up to Laos to get a double 60-day Tourist Visa.

If arriving by air, is this Evidence typically truly required? What would happen if I arrived on a 1-way ticket, explaining that the rest of my travel tickets simply had not been purchased yet?

Alternatively, does anybody have experience obtaining a Tourist Visa in the US or Canada without having such a Return airfare already purchased?

I would appreciate this forum's expert guidance.

I was considering driving down to Pattaya from Bangkok this weekend, just staying at a cheap hotel near Walking Street. What I'm wondering about is, do I just park on Second Road nearby, hoping to find a spot?

Is there a "better" alternative?

Any problems with parking on the street for 2 days?

Sorry for the silly question, but am very new to driving in Thailand and am not sure about the traffic rules for parking.
