While some university leavers are able land decent jobs in a country where paper qualifications have always been highly valued, many find themselves forced to settle for something far less prestigious and well-paid than they hoped.
Every year, an increasing number of graduates ends up earning a relative pittance in coffee bars, retail outlets and other dead-end jobs where their hard-won skills are under-utilised. In a shrinking and increasingly specialist jobs market, such second-choice employment does not always end up being temporary.
I wouldn't deny that.
One of the dancers in the GoGo Bar I owned had a Thai degree in mathematics, but soon realised she would have a better life with a ferang husband.

If I didn't know better, I'd read that as the BOT trying to stay ahead of the game by avoiding detection?

The Government Lottery Office invented the QR code system to prevent con artist from cutting and pasting numbers to forge winning tickets. But the gang has beat the system by successfully printing a fake QR code to paste on the forged tickets.
<start sarcasm mode>
I see the Lottery Office is on top of the system by using a QR code to prevent this happening.
<end sarcasm mode>

they found that the school used temporary power wires at several spots
Often these are 'permanent'.
How true.
Sadly in this case, I bet the 'temporary' cable became 'permanent', then after the electrocution it instantly became reclassifed as 'temporary' again, to try and avoid any blame.

Would anyone have a link to this news article in the Thai press?

I can hardly believe this after the PM's hatred of free speech, and his persecution of anyone reading 1984, by charging them with "eating a sandwich with political intent":

If you want to see a world-class example of 'education' being utterly vacuous, conformist, superficial and meaningless - look at Thailand.
I feel sorry for the Thai students (particularly from poor backgrounds) who really would like to develop and improve themselves - but are held back by one of the worst education systems in the world. It is so very sad.
Ouch !
But so true.
In the past when interviewing staff for vacancies here, you could see that a lot had a degree from a Thai university. We always ignored it.
Asking any in-depth questions about the subject they had their degree in proved they had no real knowledge of it.
We relied on common sense answers to questions, not so much qualifications.
The number of times someone came for an interview and bought a friend along with them, it seemed as much for moral support as anything. Many applicants seemed unable to find company premises on their own, despite being given explicit details including a detailed map.

A leading Bangkok traffic policeman has revealed that 30 major intersections would be fitted with cameras to fine people going through red lights.
Isn't that a misprit?
I always thought it seemed to be: it was fine with people going through red lights.

Nothing proven, says minister, as HIV patient claims cannabis ‘cured’ her
What a misleading headline. More click-bait?

Dr Praphan Phanuphak, director of the Thai Red Cross’ Aids Research Centre, said he suspects cannabis oil made the patient in Phetchabun feel better.

With the state of retail at the moment , I would say this is supremely mistimed.
No problem. The retailers can just increase their prices even more, to cover what I'd guess is their exorbitant rents and lack of sales.

Have they told the Chinese websites?
If this worked, then Lazada would surely sell a lot less products, given the amount of cheap Chinese goods they sell already, that appear to be very close to the original.

Sounds more like a sexual offence.
Or was he a dodgy fakhir? (It does come from the Arabic 'faqir' - a poor man. Quite apt.)
