When - you have had years to get a website working - you keep saying soon. WHEN ?

I’d assumed the whole idea of the passport debacle here in Thailand was that to comply with the apparent rule that foreigners passports should be made available for inspection on demand, and the VFS involvement allowed applicants to retain their passports following an an application for a new passport.

I understand that using an agent saves the applicant a round trip, or two, to Bangkok, but it seems to me that it rather defeats the object of ensuring the passport is available for inspection on demand, if the current passport is languishing in the agents office for a month or three.

Unfortunately that is what they wanted me to do. I declined and did it myself.

See the calendar on the right side of the page when the immigration office will be closed.

    Contact Us – Immigration Division1 | กองบังคับการตรวจคนเข้าเมือง 1

This link should be included with the yearly holiday calendar that is posted here by mods.

    Hope they will for 2023.

Division 1 is only for Bangkok not much use for anywhere else.

    King Taksin Day

The Cabinet has also declared 28 December the eastern region’s 2021 regional holiday, celebrating King Taksin Day. This holiday will be observed in 8 eastern provinces, namely Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, and Sa Kaeo.

    .

My understanding is this is only for the usual suspects - government, banks, schools.

Helpfully the immigration website states: "Closed on holidays"

    Thank you.

No. Age is determined by the date that the car has been registered as seen in the blue reg. book.

Thanks. I will get it checked - no big deal.
