  1. Has nothing to do with the fact that wet season in the North has finished and every man and their dog is burning off again!!!
  2. These Loan Sharks are the skum of the earth and are everywhere. In some cases people loose their land or house or cars or motor bikes. Many cases where people borrow an amount and have to pay double back to them within weeks or a few months. I guess they are kicking cash to local police or government officals. Skum!
  3. Here is me thinking these things are illegal in Thailand! Police asking people to reconsider the use of e cigarettes???
  4. Incorrect, not in Thailand and not in a Thai labor court. The weight of any decision will be based on how fair the contract was and what was agreed to. Yes clearly the law will also be a consideration. However this is a yearly contract not a permanent contract!
  5. I think that someone already said this, what does your contract say? If you were a permanent employee of a company, including school or uni you would be eligible for a payment, as per Liquorice's information. However you said you are on a yearly contract, that could make things different. When I retired here from my company I was given the retirement payment as others have mentioned. However I also then signed on with another company on a yearly contract, no entitlements within my contract. Best to seek some simple employment law help, in my opinion.
  6. Sorry for picking this up so late. Having had skin cancer here and having have a number of operations and or other treatments to remove those skin cancers, I could not more highly recomend my skin specialist, Dr Patcharahatai Kraisak at Samitivet Sukhumvit. She is brillant. For this type of thing, you want the best.
  7. Nok used to be a great airline, years ago. Now absolutely rubbish. Delays, cancellations, scheduling changes, poorly maintained planes etc. I will never fly with them again.
  8. Three reasons for this, Anutin has his nose out of joint because he was demoted, he wants to be PM and this is Thailand. No government other than a military government ever lasts. Watch for the next coup!
  9. Bookings.com take no responsibility for anything in reality. They are all promises and no actual support! I stopped using them for this exact reason!
  10. The first thing I thought, AND. It is sad sure, but their choice? Mess with the bull and get the horns!
  11. Yes it is a thing and you can do a search and see how to tell the difference between real and fake Kirkland vitamins. Lazarda is full of fake stuff!
  12. Silly B, should tourists in Israel Jewish customs because they are tourists and spend money??? Her mate is sitting there bare chested with a smirk on his face, tell both of them to bugger off. Thailand has made a rod for its own back with these low class entitled tourists, make a decision either you want them and the problems they bring or you don't!
  13. A mininum of 2 plus hours to drive to Sakon Nakhon and 10 minutes to Savannakhet Airport, in your dreams. Sure building an airport does not stack up. What about high speed rail up this way?
  14. Twin engine as well, so a major instant failure I would think? RIP
  15. More nonsense and <deleted>, when they should be concerned about the basics of safety, especially road safety!!!
  16. Does this stuff ever change, more Blah, Blah, Blah from the responsible agencies and government bodies and absolutely no concrete actions! Who was it who said "the definition of crazy is doing the same thing everytime and expecting a different outcome"! Ah Thailand!
  17. BS, clearly you have not been using this forum long and or don't read Thai news. Though lately, the Farang have been in the news a lot I must say.
  18. Screw international standards, who said they are correct???
  19. Absolutely 101% correct. 99% is utter BS, it would be lucky to be close to 75 - 80%. The majority of older people out on farms up country struggle with even the very basics. This is typical Thailand government offical talk, trying to cover his own ass! The education system here is extremely poor, but that's the way some of the fat cats like it.
  20. A winding piece of road??? More excuses to justify accidents! Looks like a gentle curve, when will Thailand do something about the poor drivers??? Likely never I guess.
  21. I appreciate your replies and information, thank you. i’ve had for around 10 years actually but never heard about the use of the TM 30 until a week or so ago 🤣
  22. I’ve never seen a certificate, I have hard covered little book with the certification and associated stamps, finger printers etc but yes that is it. Yes I’ve have had to get the permission to leave and no quota when planning to exit, I think TM 12 and TM 20. Also completed my Alien registration at the local police station and updated it, that was fun 😣. At least the last time it was. But the TM30 has stumped me, I’ve been told no need but when I do go to the local immigration, not often once a year maybe, they ask my wife for the TM30. Though as they don’t deal with Farang’s with PR very often at all I guess maybe they just don’t know?
