  1. The govt's complete failure here makes a mockery of the background of all of them, senior military men. Logistics should be second nature, can you imagine how they would fare in a real war (not against their own people as like Myanmar they have the guns)! Laos could probably overcome them in a couple of days.
  2. I believe The Pub in Chiang Mai was one of the "events" meeting places in the good/bad old days?
  3. I expect that will make a huge difference and the govt will resign on masse. To be replaced by more aged military men.
  4. A model for other areas wanting to create their own something box.
  5. Funny, but I am still waiting for the one to beat the "sex with masks etc" . As TIT must becoming soon.
  6. The problem we have here is that Thailand has seen the complete lack of international interest in the crackdown in Myanmar so they can basically bring out the big guns and get away with anything they want, the only likely new "government" is another bunch of uniforms.
  7. Looks like Expatvac is another also ran, probably to get rid of the Sino somethings and local AZ, coming to a vax centre sort of near you one day-maybe!
  8. Really, I thought I was the only one who did not live in Bangkok!
  9. Anyway, got substantial information on another 40,000+ expats. Worth quite a few baht for email marketing campaigns etc. Just thought I had better check my email before posting this in case appointments were being sent out. Hard to believe but-zip, nothing nada!????
  10. And that was from Expatvac registrations? I don't think so. I have yet to see anyone confirm a real appointment via that recent option?
  11. Most of the athletes get paid in some form or other nowadays. Even pro boxers were allowed to put on a shirt and pretend they were not getting paid.
  12. Much the same, everone waiting for the golden ticket. Hourly checks of the email/SMS to see if they have received that golden appointment for a vax that may or may not be Pfizer in a location that may or may not be practical for them to get to. 12 days in from original launch of the lottery and have yet to see a genuine confirmation from anyone of an appointment for the elusive vax. Who will be first?
  13. Assuming they even have vaccine for he Expatsvax registration from 1st August logistics is not something they are famous for here. 40,000 plus registrants in different parts of the country would pose a problem in most countries, from the previous failures of online registrations alone here the actual roll out of vax to all registrants looks like a nightmare for the Thai's in charge. The vaccines only have limited shelf life so look for excuses why such and such a vax is unavailable, Pfizer was the name that attracted so many registrations, be interesting to see what transpires, if anything. On the other hand, hope I am wrong and appointments and actual vax will soon take place!
