The wife's businesses have both paper and plastic bags. Most customers ride motorbikes and prefer plastic due to possible rain on their ride home.

Yeah I thought that yet the times I get caught in the rain I'll try and continue using my Friendship bag for life.

Those paper bags with handles and that are not waterproof are not very good at all.

    Follow the money. . .

The smart city industry is projected to be a $400 billion market by 2020, with 600 cities worldwide. These cities are expected to generate 60% of the world's GDP by 2025, according to McKinsey research.

Yep, the UN's Agenda 21/30 "sustainable development" programme, which envisages most of us crammed into urban anthills with round-the-clock surveillance via 5G and the Internet of Things, is alive and well and coming soon to a town or city near you.

    Run.

Multiply that by Few hundred thousand. Is that one of the many reasons tourism might be down?

    Yep!

Along with a few other reasons.

And combined with certain other nationalities 'it's a jungle out there!'

Most places in the world have changed for the worse in my life time.

    Don't get me started lol.

I was just at KFC the only one  there and waiting to be served when a Chinese/Thai woman walked up behind me to the service line and said her order to the girl .I turned and said "Wait! I'm first" to the bitch ,and then placed my order in Thai loudly to the girl serving .The girl said "Yes" ,then served the bitch first "<deleted> it!" I said and walked away from the counter while telling the bitch she was no good and very bad mannered . Cutting my nose off to spite my face? Yes, but ,I've spent half my time on and off

here for 20 yrs and I STILL can't get used to the self entitled attitude they have in queues and on the road.

Good for you. I would have just walked away without paying as well.

Well worth it and it is more likely I would have had to make another round trip to get something certified or another obscure document etc. etc. a la Thai style beaurocratic punishment for not using an agent. Besides my company will cover the expense.

    ????????????

I just completed it through an online agent. All I had to do was get my finger prints done in my city of Hua Hin and send passport scans. They were very professional it took 7 day after the Thai police center received my fingerprints in Bangkok. Cost 4500 Baht.

    4500 baht. My goodness!

Probably comparable with the cost of the trip (and hassle) to Bangkok eh?

"How to Get a Police Clearance".

A fat brown envelope would usually suffice.

Not really. The process is the same as when you do your driving licence.

7 stages waiting your turn for each one all carried out in one open space.
