  1. Yes I did it last year.

Took the plate off the SR and put it on the zed and put the zed number plateon the SR.

It's 1500 baht takes one day and all you have to do is go to the chonburi transport office in chonburi which is past Central shopping centre chonburi. All you need is ID and copies of the green books which they do for you upstairs in the main office.

    Hope this helps.

  2. All part of having no standards in place and the control of the standards.

One day it will be a lot better here after a few things are changed.

1st education system needs a complete overhaul. Explain and demonstrate why things have to change while still maintaining their cultural heritage and identity.

We are talking about a couple of generations at least I think...

  3. I last had a paddle in 1995 and it still gives me the creeps thinking about it!

Waste water treatment plants aren't the best here together with the prolific street dumping of 'waste'.

Hopefully one day they will pump (sorry?) some serious cash into a major overhaul of the whole system.

Meanwhile, nature is trying to deal with it all. It's all part of a developing country...

I have rented 2 houses in east Pattaya on separate occasions.  The first place had to have the septic tank pumped out when full, when we moved to the second place I asked the owner about pumping the tank out and he told me that I didn't have too as it was hooked up to the storm water drain.

    Dear me!!! Truly depressing.

These are supposed to be normal water drains connected to the city's storm drains, normally only waste water/storm water would run through these and out to sea, this type of drainage system usually needs no further processing before it goes out to sea, this is quite normal in most countries...

Problem is, there is so much illegal tie ins to these drains that there is all sorts of shit entering the system, quite literally, not to mention the amount of rubbish that goes down the drain along with cooking oil from all sorts of food vendors...

    Absolutely spot on aye.

They need to regulate ? stop all those buckets of oil from restaurants and houses being poured straight into the storm drains and review ? the sewage system!!!
