    Ranong Immigration Office Moved

    in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

    Greetings All.

    I have just returned from doing yet another visa run to Ranong from Phuket.

    As I have been driving myself these last few trips I was suprised to find that when I pulled into the old Immigration Office in Ranong I was redirected to the pier where they have a new Immigration Office - and guess what ? Now you need a photocopy of the front page of your passport which gets handed over to the Burmese Officials at the 1st little island stop before docking in Burma proper.

    No problems today and all went smoothly. Just for the record I left from near the Phuket Airport at 5:00 this morning and was back home here again by 1:30 this afternoon. A new world record for me..... :o

    Well that leaves Africa or Australasia, and it doesn't look like anywhere I know in Oz.

    So I'll say Africa

    (I haven't mentioned Antartica - perhaps the South Orkney Islands have had a sudden population explosion, but I doubt it. :o
