Better education is certainly important when it comes to road safety, but people also need to know that they can get caught and fined or jailed when they break the law, so good enforcement by the RTP is essential. And we all know that ain’t never going to happen, unfortunately.

The only thing that will help is installing barriers, like at railroad crossings. If there is no physical barrier, Thai drivers and motor cyclists simply will not stop, period!

It’s quite telling that the RTP feel the need to assure everyone that justice will prevail, isn’t it? I mean, it’s their job, come on! You don’t see me taking a microphone to tell people I’m going to do my job today, for Pete’s sake.

The headline would suggest that the female trucker burst into flames after she hit another truck. I’m hoping it was her truck, though, that burst into flames, and not her.

He can ‘explain’ until he’s blue in the face, but it’s either incompetence, or someone wanted more money, or nobody gives a d@mn. Can also be a combination of all three things.

Could very well be true and if so, it should be looked into and hefty fines should be issued. But Thaksin is hardly one to cast stones. I mean, you don’t become a billionaire - certainly not in Thailand - by being Mr. Nice Guy, so I’m quite sure he and his clan screwed over lots of people in the process.

The generals are probably jealous of their friendly neighbors in Myanmar, the junta that can do whatever the hell they want to stifle any and all opposition, and stay in power. And I don’t believe for a minute that they collected a million autographs. Unless they paid people to sign.

And plenty of young healthy people have long covid now, in different gradations of severity. My sister and I both had covid in March 2020 and we’re still feeling it, my sister worse than me. We’re not so young anymore (both early 60’s) but we’re healthy, no weight issues or whatever. We both experienced mild symptoms yet the long term consequences were/are a lot more severe.

You can arrest as many migrants as you want; as long as the people who organize and facilitate these things on the Thai side of the border are left in peace, it will continue. So how about rounding up some of these organizers and facilitators who make (a lot of) money off of this human trafficking? Oh wait, I forgot, they can’t be touched because of all the brown envelopes they distribute, and all the payments they make to the retirement fund of the RTP.

Money and power. And apparently Anutin doesn’t have enough of either one yet. God help Thailand, though, if he becomes the next PM.

Any cabinet member, including Dear Leader, would deny having stolen cookies even if they were caught with one hand in the cookie jar and the other hand wiping the crumbles from their mouth.

He really doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about, does he? Omicron is even hitting countries hard where 80-90% of the people are fully vaccinated and more than half have had their booster shot. Thailand doesn’t come close to these figures. And this guy is running the health department and is in charge of the COVID response. The only glimmer of hope is that Omicron is apparently not as potent as Delta. Fingers crossed.
