  1. Selling drugs is murder so it is worst than raping so if they rape him in prisson or kill him he deserves it

    Entrapment?

Entrapment? He's admitted to owning the lab to learn production and sell on his knowledge so others can create meth labs. Where's the entrapment? He was probably producing Meth to sell as he had 50 odd grammes but who knows how much he's sold before that? I doubt they'll execute him but he'll likely spend 20 years in prison so you have to have some pity for the man as 20 years in a Thai prison is more than enough to realize the errors of your ways. Being a humanitarian I hope they transfer him to a prison that's a bit easier to bare so he can serve out his term without the fear of being rapped or killed.

To any "string em high" supporters out there, you shouldn't be living in the land of Buddha!

  2. Hi,

Just came back from Rick's House at Kanchanaburi.

Such a fantastic place, riding in the morning and evening when it is not too hot and relaxing during the day.

And after a good dinner end the day with a short trip to hindad hot springs, for a relaxing bath in the hot waters

This time I still stayed at Ricks house but their first bungalow is nearly finished and I am looking forward to staying there the next time I come. It is really nice, deluxe style and with a very big and beautiful bathroom with a rain shower.

Here is a picture of the bungalow and the hot springs

Thanks again for the great time Rick

  3. Lets see how long this "crackdown" on plastic bags will last..

They will get thousands of complains of the local Thai people who don’t share the same view about this as you rich & strange farang.

In a few weeks everything will be back to normal and if ever ask then initiators of this idea will admit that western style living is not for thais....

If you think that Thailand ever will be like you home country better stop dreaming and go home because this will never happen

    :)

  4. Hi All,

My tourist visa will expire the next week so I will leave Bangkok on the Tuesday 17 of October and return with a free double entry tourist visa on the Friday morning 20 of October.

I'm looking for people to join me on this trips since travelling in a group is always cheaper and more fun than travelling alone. Last time I went to Vientiane I saved nearly 1000 Baht in transportation and hotels as I travelled with others.

    Here is the plan

    • Departure from Bangkok at 18:30 on the express train(77) I like to take this train since you will arrive around 5:30 - 6:00 at Nongkhai and you have a lot of time to go to the embassy and you can avoid the crowds and the heat. Price for second class Air condition is around 500 Baht. This is not a sleeper train but it is more comfortable than sleeping in a plain since you have reclining seats and a lot of leg space. A blanket is also provided
    • Arrival at Nongkhai and border crossing. Shared car should be around 50 - 70 baht per person to the thai embassy.
    • Visa Application
    • Transport to the riverside area around 20 - 30 Baht per person (shared car
    • Choose a Hotel. This completely depends on what the majority of the people wantbut the more people we are the better prices we get. Last time with 4 friends I was able to get a room initially prized at 1000 Baht with AC for only 700.
    • Dinner we can either join and party together or you can relax on your own.
    • Next day after check out shared car to the embassy 20 - 30 Baht
    • Collect your visa and your passport
    • Shared car to the border 50 - 70 Baht
    • Night train sleeper to Bangkok (70) 18:20 Departure and arrival around 6:25 - 7:25 price for second class upper around 708

If you would like to join pm me or add a reply to this post. Good way to save money and have fun at the same time. And if this is your first visa run this is your best option to get used to visa runs and learn all the small details

    Regards

    Klaus

  5. Hi ,

Any updates for the track. I will be coming to Thailand in December and I'm looking for some active holiday and I love motocross and it would be really great to do it since here in Germany the season is now finish as you know.

Also do you have the possibility to explore the nature? Because I also like enduro Tours and my wife and I are also interested in doing some trekking.

As for accommodation I don't expected to get everything for free so just let me know by pm how much it would be for one week with the use of 1 bike on 3 days.

    Regards

  7. As for Oishi Grand it is located at Siam Discovery third floor at the end which is furthest away from the entrance facing the BTS line.

On weekends it gets really busy so you may consider making a reservation.

As for the food it is Japanese style buffet good amount of seafood but no lobster or crabs or oyster or things like that. Quality is extremly good and a lot of the hot food is prepared at the minute for you. So if you wanna eat very well without spending to much it is a very good choice since for the same quality in a hotel you would pay around 1300++ per person

  8. In Chiang Mai a top buffet in the best hotels is about 5-600 baht with no alcohol and it is not difficult to find someone with a discount card..

You get plenty of shrimp, smoked Salmon, local lobser, crab and some decent roasts.

I just can't imagine how a 1,500 baht Bangkok banquet could be much better than this,

Well Chiang Mai hotels don’t have to compete so hard.

Here in Bangkok there are just too many 5 star deluxe hotels.

Even at the Oriental or Penninsula prices for a dinner Buffet are around 2000++

  9. The Question is how much are you willing to spend???

Oriental is a good choice for high prized top buffet.

If you want to pay less and be still at the River try the buffet at the Millennium Hilton

For less money you also could eat at the Lebua the buffet is top and very modern but inside.

My personal favorite currently is the Oishi Grand buffet at Siam Center if I remember well 750++ including non alcoholic beverages and a lot of fresh seafood. The location is very convenient as after or before you meal you can go for a nice shopping trip

  10. Try the Alila Cha Am

Nice botique style hotel in a modern style with huge rooms and nice pool. During this low season if you stay more than one night you can get some really special offers if you book directly on the hotel website.

If you look for something in Hua Hin you should try the Hyatt. Nice and modern hotel which is regarded by many as Hua Hin best hotel.

The Sofitel despite being in the city center of Hua Hin is not such a good choice. Beach is terrible (dirty and with a lot of sellers and drunk locals during weekend) And it is quite over prized for what they offer
