We had a good time at the pearl farm. The free electric bus is crowded but we seem to use it everyday. It is a great asset to this island. We are not impressed with Vietnamese food. Everything seems bland we like Spicy food and the just is not much flavor in anything also the rice here is not that great. Seems we are partial to Thai food.

I brought my crew and were ready for Bahn mi. But your buddies place was closed @ 5:00 in the evening. Tough way to make a living.

Just an update we went to SCB and they enabled our atm card to work at SCB in Vietnam. They asked us to put a limit on how much we thought we would need.

I noticed that Siam Commercial Bank(SCB) has a branch in Ho Chi Minh City. Will my Thai SCB atm card work there?

A quick question. In January I will enter Thailand on a visa on arrival from the USA by air , we will stay one week then exit by air to Vietnam. Stay in Vietnam 5 days then back to Thailand by air. My question is when I return to Thailand what length of visa will I be granted as we plan to stay another 2 weeks before flying back to the USA. Thanks

I have never used grab, how hard will it be to get a grab driver thru my app at Bkk Airport @ 2:00 in the morning going to chachoengaso area on a Tuesday No problem or ? I am Just trying to eliminate my in-laws from being on the road @ those hours. Grab said about 1 hour and 30 minute ride from the airport to our hotel in that area Thanks

Are Thais required to have a passport to enter Vietnam or will a Thai id work to enter thru an airport in Vietnam coming and returning from Thailand. My wife has a passport but we may add a family member to the trip that currently just has a Thai id. I know we went to Myanmar across a land border when my wife had no passport some time back

Can someone give me a quick visa 101. My wife and I will be flying to Thailand in January we are considering flying to Vietnam for a week. My wife holds a us passport and a Thai passport myself US passport. Do we just do visa on arrival to Vietnam. Or should we both do an E visa ahead of time using us passports, It is my understanding that a Thai does not require a visa. Or do I just get myself a e visa. Thanks in advance.

I was just getting ready to ask the same question. Krabi shuttle looks good. Can someone make a recommendation for a shuttle or mini van from aonang beach to tiger temple maybe a trip to Krabi town for some shopping and back this would probably be a half day 3/4 day thing for 4 adults 2 children. We will be in Krabi for 5 days The rental cars seem to only hold up to 5 the smaller economy cars hold 4 and are better priced so maybe a private mini van hire. Or just cram in an economy car. Thanks for any suggestions. Passengers are 3 thai adults 2 thai children 7 and 9 and me Farang.
