Have anyone had furniture made per their specification or had any experience regarding it? I am looking to get a closet made after drawings I have made in the dimensions H:170cm W:130cm D:60cm.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but I think it is fun to design things from the bottom and get them made.

Any recommendations or warnings? Would also love to hear some prices if someone have done the same earlier.

Heard somewhere that MBK already have them. Would have checked it out, but I am reluctant to travel down closed streets.

Can anyone confirm, and maybe price too?

Hmmm, I am not unfamiliar with changing hardware in my previous Windows machines, but I would be more comfortable with having someone doing it for me that maybe done it a couple of times before. Does these places give a guarantee for the product when they are fixing it? And if they only cost 1000B and use 3.5 (thought it was 2.5) it cuts the price down considerably.

Unfortunatly Apple see it fit to make computers without any possibility for laymen to change the hdd, so I wonder if anyone know where I can get this done cheap(ly) here in Bangkok? Anyone had it done?

A friend of mine has a gf from Udon, and she told him she got an abortion there about 5 years ago (she is 25 now) because her husband left her for someone else. As I understand, abortions were illegal in Thailand at that time. So how was she able to get an abortion? And if this was done in some backalley abortion clinic, would such a procedure damage her chances of having children?

I live in an apartment buildning with included wifi. But the thing is that their internet is very bad. Bad speed, bad connection lots of downtime. You name it, they got it. And I need to stay online sometimes, because of work. What are my alternatives?

- WIFI true: they got some hotspots I can barely pick up a signal from (live in Lat Phrao btw)

- Through the cell network: I know absolutly nothing about this.

Had a glass of orange juice while sitting at my computer at night. An hour or so later I went for a refill and drank it right down. My thoughts were, "I do not remember buying the one with pulp?". Turning on some lights, and I just swallowed about 30 of the buggars. "Protein" I tell myself ;-)

Got a seemingly broken camera in for scrapping at my last workplace (IT Technician). Found out it was only the LCD that was broken, everything else works, including the backlight. Its a IXUS 400 with 4MP. Not much, but would be great as a "party camera" when I don´t want to bring my 7000Baht Casio. But there is no way of navigating the menus, so does anyone know how much it would cost me to replace the LCD screen, and where I might go to do it?

Back from a trip to Laos 2 weeks ago, and I am supposed to go for my 90 days report this week. My friend with a retirement Visa went, and they basically told him that he didnt need to report before 90 days after coming back from Laos. I have an non-imm education Visa, does the same apply to me? Would love to not having to go all the way to Immigration just to be told the same thing.

Does anyone know the current prices on these two at places like MBK? I was told I would get 6000baht back for my Nokia N95 (horrible phone!) and shopping around for a full-screen. Dont really need all the doo-dads the new iPhone has, but interesting to know how much they go for.

Living in a pretty decent studio in Ramkhamhaeng right now. 75 square m fully furnished for 14.000 + electricity per month. But tired of living so far away from everything, and was thinking of relocating to a more central area, thinking Phaya thai / Ratchaburi as I heard good things about them. Is it realistic with a budget of 15.000 + el? And do anybody got any tips on good apartment buildnings?

Was discussing with my friends the other day, and the topic of why so many adult women i Bangkok has braces. The conclusion was that its probably due to the high cost that they get them when they have a job and can afford them. But I started wondering; how much does braces cost here in bkk? Dont need the full price list, but just thinking of a ballpark figure.

Studied a master degree for 6 months in Ramkhamhaeng International Institute now, and I can say that its very good. The courses are (for the most part) challenging and engaging and the quality of teachers are good. Since I am a foreign student in a newly established master study, I am very well taken care of, as they hope I will be doing what I am doing right now and telling people about my good experience :-)

Have noticed that most american movies that makes it over here are blockbusters, but I really want to see "Butn After Reading", the new Coen movie. Is there any cinemas in Bkk that shows that kind of movie? Guess if they showed "No Country For Old Men", it would be a safe bet.

Ah. It seems I have an extension of stay then, as I have to report every 90 days, but not leave the country. Is there much hokus-pokus to obtain the re-entry permit, or just a document and a stamp?
