Falang with yoga injury (to neck) needs adjustment. Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of a good chiropractor in Chiang Mai?
Thanks.

i am american, flying into LOS next week --from India-- WITHOUT a visa.
1) after one 30-day entry stamp, is it still possible to do a border run (to mae sae) and come right back with another 30 days?
2) is there any point in requesting more than 30 days when i arrive at the airport?
Thank you for info.

Young farang working in Chiang Mai received very disturbing news from home. Unfortunately sworn to secrecy. (family secrets )
Isolated about this and desperately needs to talk...think through...strategize and get some perspective.
So if anybody can offer or recommend someone who might be available would you please sms or call 01-531-3154?
Many thanks.

hey, visa gurus. i i had a 6-month multiple entry tourist visa. American passort. the last 2-month entry period will run out next week, but the visa itself finished last month. can i go to immigration and pay rather than do the border run? thanks for info.

just for the tell of it, i recall a personals ad in the village voice, long time passing:
woman seeking man who
1) speaks english
2) owns a suit
3) has forgiven his parents
At first it seemed like a case of low expectation, then I noticed she didn't request english to be his first languange, she didn't define when he wear the suit, and she didn't mention forgive for what, just assumed there's a point each of us must get beyond.

Greetings, Gateway Gurus:
I need a little more time in Thailand than my current visa (from Ranong) allows. I know I could go again to Ranong, but have been invited to travel by car on one-day trip to Hat Yai and back, from Surat Thani.
Can I just go back and forth across the border, or must I apply for a visa in the morning and then wait overnight?
Is it doable to leave my friends in Hat Yai for a couple of hours, and then just hurry back? I do not wish to incovenience them.
It is for this Monday, and could be fun, as opposed to exhausting and weird.
As Ever,
Thanks

URGENT (Because I promised to do this search two weeks ago and must leave).
Is there an English speaking Farang therapist, living anywhere in Thailand, available to work with a 30-yr. old American woman of an extraordinary multi-cultural background, experiencing (somewhat delayed) adjustment problems?
Two qualities needed. Someone really tough-minded to face resistance with her and stay on track, and a profound sensitivity to a truly unusual family history.
Please answer as soon as possible if you are out there. We can e-mail or i can call you.
Thanks

Dear Edward,
It took you 5 MONTHS to answer. I have learned to read Thai, but managed to forget my password to log on!
For this distress it is but fair to request a joke in compensation...something of subtlety and wit.
Awaiting in patient edurance,

SAMEQUESTION, DIFFERENT DAY: Is it sufficient for a Thai national to enter Burma at Ranong with just only an official photo ID card? Then can we stay overnight? What's the deal?
:
-
Dutch and pvt dick, thank you.
We are located near Surat Thani. So to Burma is just a mornings' jaunt.
She did have a five year passport... but complained of the price of a new one, and I've no idea.
Must it be a passport office, or would any local post office have the forms? or only the main one in Surat? what are they called? (my Thai is nit noy, and I boasted that I could find all this stuff out)
The last bit of confusion (hah--that's gotta be a lie) has to do with staying overnight in Burma at the Ranong border. The stamp in my passport looks like it's possible, but is that just part of the act? Can it be done?
-
Disclaimer--This is not a dumb question. This is just an ignorant question:
A Thai friend (who is a mae chii) wants to go with me to Ranong for my next visa run to Burma in a couple of months. uhh, her passport has expired. Exactly what does she need in the way of id papers to do this?
The stamp I got this time says that it is good for two days. I too would love would love to get away from the port and wander around a bit.
Further, what is involved in a Thai getting a new passport, and how expensive is it? She seemed to think it was a really big deal and probably not worth it.

Dear George--
Thanks, that was great speed. That little piece of faux info wasted an hour of my time and worried my friends during a nice train trip. We should have known the source was questionable. By the way, this website is just spectacular.

ISLAND PARTY GIRL WANTS TO CLEAN UP HER ACT.
This is true... and actually quite serious.
Any info for my British friend?
She does not speak Thai.
Either in Bkk or Surat. Would be great if there's a group. Needs support to start.
Thanks

Dear George,
How do I arrange the free e-mail that's posted?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I keep getting
told I'm not logged on when trying to post a reply.
The link to check is bringing up a blank page with a flag.
Thanks

Dear Bruno,
Thank you for the time you took to write that post.
I had not troubled to know specifics, and am now far better informed.
