  1. the little mob comes out in force now... wink.png

Yes, i will be busy. The reds are protesting, a yellow group has occupied a part of Sanam Luang, and i will switch between both camps. Care to join if you can tear yourself off the screen?

And if you want to find out about the different murders and shooting incidents the PAD committed in 2008, just go through the archives of the newspapers. They wrote about them at the time.

The irony behind using the word "mob".

I'm back in the UK. Flying back into Thailand to watch a much bigger mob force it to the brink (yet again), just for the sake of a forum pissing contest, would be somewhat silly IMO.

But you're the amazing force for good in all this, and we'll just never get it. Well done you.

  2. There are a lot of issues i will not comment on at this present time, and definitely not on an internet forum. As to what was behind the 2010 protests, the issue is so complex that i just do not have the time to go through this, and which would anyhow be deleted because it would derail the topic way too far from the original subject - being the murder charges.

Of course Honest Nick can't comment on the *real* reasons behind the red shirt so-called "Million Man March", which happened just weeks after the courts very damning ruling against Thaksin. It may be considered off-topic, it would break a million and one forum rules, and us lowly observers would simply not understand anyway. Save your precious time.

But as for completely off-topic accusations - lacking in evidence - and hyperbole involving the PAD/Yellow shirts, that's a different story entirely...

As to yellow violence - there are many things that the public may not be aware off. The yellow barricades at government house were mined the same way the red shirt barricades were mined (but were not exploded in the end). The PAD in 2008 committed several murders as well, shot at innocent bystanders, injured some, shot at a journalist's van, etc.

The PAD was in the end never dispersed the same way the Red Shirts were (because the army refused to follow the orders of the then Somchai government). You can be quite sure that the PAD would have fought the security forces the same the Red Shirts have fought them in 2010. The had the weapons, and were more than ready to use them.

We all know about the dead body which strangely just turned up at Don Muang. Any more info on these so-called "murder s"? If we really "can be sure", why didn't the yellow shirts react "in the same way" after having their legs blown off by the police tear gas grenades?

Anyhow, i am sorry, i enjoyed the discussion with you, but i have to cut it short. I am quite tired, and over the next few days i will be quite busy.

I have absolutely no doubt you will be "quite busy" over the next few days.

  3. I do believe the army needn't bother getting involved in this, other than to help out where Bangkok's finest police force are failing in providing sufficient protection to the court judges against the so-called "pro-democracy" red mob.

Thaksin's push for amnesty will be a typical multi-pronged attack. The rally by the sponsored red clan is just one of these prongs. Others include Yingluck's recent speech, and PTP's attempts to "boycott" the constitutional court.

    The prong that really concerns me is the one he has against Thailand's only genuine pro-democracy force over the past 40 years, and the one I personally believe we will soon see yet another strong re-emergence of;

    The students.

  4.

oh please stop that irony ... this government is just trying to do their job .... clap2.gif:clap2: ok that was an ironic comment . coffee1.gif

where do you see the government involved?

What? The police ARE a government agency.

You must be the product of the Thai educational system.

ever heard of separation of powers? legislature, executive, judiciary?

no? you must be one of the best experts here.

what some state agency comes up with or the metropolitan police isn't necessary the last order directly from the cabinet or yingluck herself.

Can we assume with all there diversions you are offering that you are also a member of the cabinet yourself ?

  5. Personally speaking I could never vote for a party that chooses as it's leader a "person" that set the troops on his own citizens, authorised the use of live ammunition on them, authorised the use of snipers and the setting up of live fire zones. A "person" who has lied to the country on numerous occasions and basically is morally bereft.

You forgot to mention the cat he was stroking and his evil laugh.

  6. All the 15 or so million voters who voted for him must be stupid.

Actually it was 11.4 million and they voted for the party not abhisit. Personally speaking, after the events of 2010, I would imagine he would be unelectable.

    "Personally" ?

It's clear enough isn't it?, whats your problem with the statement?

It just sounded much more like the standard red shirt propaganda mantra than a personal opinion.

"Personally" I find it very difficult to take foreign red shirt protagonists seriously after watching the esteemed Jeff Savage's temper tantrum. I've seen very little in the real world, Twitter, or this forum, to reverse that opinion.

  7. How is Abhisit still in a position of authority? He has been destroyed once already during an election from a position of power that he didn't earn and yet they're are still backing him? Madness. That party must really suck if he's the best they've got.

All the 15 or so million voters who voted for him must be stupid.

  8. I hope Abhisit will file attempted murder charges against the Red shirts who stormed the Pattaya meeting and the ones who attacked and damaged his car while he was in it. in his damaged car -INTENT to kill was plain visible and highly personal -if you will.

Although I can see the temptation, I don't think they will. Again, it'll just be pathetic red-shirt-style tit-for-tat.

Then again, does a passive-assertive approach really do anybody any favours in Thailand...? :(

  9. This witch hunt has a good chance a backfiring. After all, how can a person that can barely string two words of English together write a Phd in flawless English? Even more pertinent is that his sister is the sitting PM and also can't speak English yet qualified in a similar manner. Glass houses....stones.

    http://www.scribd.co...914/Thaksin-PHD

Once again I am stunned by the sheer incompetence of the opposition to not deal with this irregular paperwork of Aphisits conscription. I don't think anybody is arguing that he avoided his service, after all there is a lot of proof that he did in fact lecture as part of his conscription.

Your link is blank and your lies are irrelevant. Correction: your link is not blank just extremely slow to open.

What lies? That's a harsh term to be throwing around, especially after correcting yourself having problems accessing the well-known Scribd site.

  10. I feel sorry for these fools, if they can't see past the whole ruse of this setup, and think this is how justice works on the simplest level, they are doomed to spending the rest of their lives being marginalised, poor, left behind and hoodwinked because they are too dumb to realise what actually happened at Ratchaprasong. They're never going to get UDD style justice because it's so far fetched and unrealistic, a big lie.

Spare your tears. The roads to red shirt justice are paved with gold.

  11. Do the pro-reds on this thread really believe this is being done in the name of justice?

i get lumped in as being pro-red so often here that i may as well answer, well more like answer with a question, do the pro-yellows really believe that the thaksin land charge was really done in the name of justice?

    I do actually.

Do you think Thaksin is not guilty of this crime? Or any others he stands accused of?

But Abhisit is somehow guilty of murder...?

This is nothing but a silly tit-for-tat, but with very potentially serious consequences. Not that the main player cares.

  12. I'm going to barricade myself in Liverpool One later today. 50 pound a person will be handed out to anybody who wants to join me and wear a ridiculous coloured shirt featuring the image of my paymaster. If the police or army do try and evict me, or anybody stages an opposing protest, I'll have my armed militia fire upon them with battlefield war weapons.

What's the odds of me being shot in the head by Monday, and nobody going being charged with murder for it ever?

I personally think Abhisit, Suthep and whoever else has been implicated in these ridiculous charges are secretly relishing in just how badly this will backfire on PT. What a childish, pathetic and silly move.

I used to work in Liverpool 1.

    In the days of HMIT.....................

It will be interesting to see if it does backfire on PT.

I doubt it, unless there is a move by the men in green, which is quite likely I think.

Within the next 12 months, probably, IMO.

Suthep and AV should rightfully be called to account for their despicable decisions.

I was hoping for your support, philw. Don't you agree with my cause?
