  1. Give the OP some credit - I bet the authorities never considered the possibility of several sets of airplane tyres being solely responsible for the twin towers coming down.

And shouldn't the Thai govt list all potentially cursed buildings so that shoppers can know in advance if they are chancing death by entering the premises.

  2. Whats Koh Chang like around September?? And also Koh Mak?? Hotel recommendations?? Ferries still running there around then?? Rainy season?? Samet was fine last Sept/Oct even tho people said low season don't go!!

  3. The sea was still rough enough for someone to drown last week off White Sand Beach, the body was washed up in the evening a couple of days ago

Yesterday on Klong Prao beach the waves were the biggest I've seen for a while - still well under a metre. And no strong rip. The Aussies we have staying with us now enjoyed them, thought they were just the right type of wave for playing in. But if I had young kids I wouldn't let them in the water unless you were with them all the time.

It might die down, it might get rougher. No way of knowing what it'll be like next week as the weather is starting to get into a a pattern of rain at night but with some sunshine during the day.

  4. You are real Warm , Cambodia is the Key to his master plan, all the training was done there and bomb making so called experts, Crude but semi effective, There is evidence the assault team assembled in Pattaya for the past 3-4 months and no one ever noticed .

And we knew them as Pattaya SWAT. They would have got away with it too if it wasn't for that dam_n yellow Hummer.

  5. "A white Westerner was involved in the arson attack on Central World, convincing them to set fire to it. And an Asian was also involved in the arson attacks on the banks," said government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn.

As the Thai people are obviously so easily led by foreigners, why didn't the government just get the UN to tell everyone to calm down? That would have been job done.

Surely, one heartfelt word from anyone with UN credentials - possibly Angelina Jolie, or Ginger Spice if she was busy - would have been enough and the protestors would have seen the error of their ways and gone home.

    K. Panitan, why didn't the government take this simple option to end the violence in an instant and provide Abhisit with a photo op with Gerri H.?

  6. Well if u announce on Youtube ur gonna kills some one, and a few days later that person gets murdered, it kinda puts u in the doo doo

Given the number of TV members who have advocated lynching, torture, beheading, public execution etc of Jeff Savage, let's hope nothing happens to him. If it does will they be held responsible for predicting what will happen and therefore either inciting it or obviously being involved themselves?

And the follow on from that is that TV, by allowing death threats or threats of harm to be made publicly against an individual, who has not be charged with any offence, are also equally to blame.

  7. Pet Paradise is pretty good & popular with Thai 'superstars' and the type of people who own Mini's. But on the east of Bangkok. Our dog has stayed there before for 2 weeks and seemed healthy and happy enough when we picked him up. And so he should be at about 800 baht/night for his AC room plus some additional payments for regular swims in the pool.

  8. From January this year:

Cabinet on Tuesday gave the army 247 million baht ($7.5 million) to buy new rubber bullets, tear gas and other anti-riot equipment, in anticipation of fresh anti-government protests.

The army would buy 3,750 shields, 3,750 batons, 5,200 tear gas grenades and 260 launchers, 5,200 hand-held tear gas canisters, 487,500 rubber bullets and 130 net launchers, it added.

Wonder how much of the budget actually got spent on these items as they didn't appear to be used recently.

  9. Thank God we have a good man like Korn in the finance ministry, instead one of the Thaksin morons.

    Isn't that a Rock band?

    Yep, correct.

Thai wikipedia has a listing for the 'Thaksin morons' . A prog-rock four piece combo who fused the best of morlam with a dash of Rick Wakeman and some mid 90s REM. Hailing from Buriram they initially took Isaan by storm selling out Mukdahan Cockfighting Arena in less than 10 minutes, still a record to this day. Two hits later and they disbanded as it was rice harvest time.

  10. Bangkok Pundit has already disproved most of what the badly researched 'open letter' says. See his site for something far more constructive comments than the vast majority of TV posters can ever hope to offer.

Wonder how close a relation she is to Pojaman Na Pombejra ( aka the former Mrs Shinawatra )

  11. URGENT UPDATE: After five days, the Thai authorities were able to obtain a picture of sniper who allegedly shot Army Specialist Maj Gen Khattiya Sawasdipol, better known as Seh Daeng.

    sniper

Nice. :) But on a more serious note, wonder if Abhisit is regretting calling Seh Daeng the 'chief terrorist' in light of him receiving a funeral sponsored by HM the King and Queen. Bet Mark's kicking himself for that now.

And now , no way the blame for any 'black shirt' activities can be pinned on Seh Daeng by the media now, so they need someone else as a scapegoat.

  12. Hey, have the rains started down there yet? We're hoping the monsoons hold off until late June.

There's been some heavy showers but on the whole May has been much hotter and drier than last year. Little bit of rain last night but today the sun has been shining, the sea is calm and the beaches are very quiet.

But the forecast is for rain next week. By late June it'll be hit and miss - cant guarantee the weather then.

  13. Google is your friend. Search 'Koh Chang Thailand' and the first site ( iamkohchang.com ) is mine - lots of island related stuff there. Search for 'Koh Chang Property' and the first site (kohchangrealestate.com) is another of mine - property related stuff there, but the same listings as on the first site.

See how you get on with those.
