  1. I'll second that.. Dr. Anna at BPH, very good, nice lady and knows her skin. I had a mole removed last week by her, I did a lot of research into skin specialists in BKK and Pattaya and she always came up as very positive.

  2. Thanks chaps.. needed a quick response as I had to get the birthday cake for tomorrow.. went to Foodland as that is the easiest on the way home... picked a cake last, will collect it tonight.. 650 Baht for a large, about 400 for a smaller one in case anyone is wandering..

Anyway, cheers for all the help.. much appreciated, I knew I could rely on you :o

  3. Please no piss takers.. but I need a birthday cake with a name to be written on it (in icing not biro before anyone asks) :o

Anybody know of a place in Pattaya, not expensive... it's the thought that counts don't you know!

  4. Yep, Laundry Express is very good.. A bit on the pricey side mind.. I usually use that place for dry cleaning suits etc.

The best (or shoudl I say only) laundry I have ever found in 6 years, that is good, in Thailand (Bangkok, Samui, Pattaya) is down Naklua Soi 16, right to the end near the Garden Cliff Resort. Its under a condominum block on the side of the road called Nova Mirage... 2 really nice ladies who do a very, very good job.. It's a bit out of the way, but if you have your own transport I would recommend this place as a regular laundry service..

  5. If this is the one opposite the Aiyara Palace Hotel I have used it many times they are good

I'll second (or third) that... I get all my suits etc dry cleaned there.. excellent and well priced.

  6. I'm nominating the busy market on the corner of Klang and 16th. They have many fresh fruit shakes served chilled in a tall glass for the ridiculously low price of 30 baht. I must have 2 per visit even though one is so filling. I recommend the mango. :D:D

Come on Loosescrew.. you must be really bored or something! Best Fruit shake in Pattaya, it's a bit of a boring thread isn't it... I think you need some inspiration for some new ideas for threads... lets see what the weekend bring you!! :D

BTW, La Baguette on Naklua Rd does a mean fruit shake!! :o

  7. I love Pork Larb. Usually eat it daily. Looking for a nomination for best Larb in the city. Carrefour does a decent Larb but I've had better.

This one of your litter Brit, photo looks the same!!

    Cheers

    Bert :o

Did anybody else understand what that statement from Bert meant? :D

  8. Looking for some hidden gems. Know any? Why there?

R-Con. goind towards the Pattaya Klang road... It's got a big sign on top of it and its on the corner, the only main corner in that area of Buakow.. really nice rooms (for the price range). I believe its about 10k for the month or anything from 500 - 1000 for 1 night... very nice though..

The owners are Thai-Chinese, so a bit on the "long pockets" side... nevertheless, I always stick my mates in there.

  9. Go to Paragon shopping center.. not sure which floor.. maybe 4th... But there is one particular legit music shop, which sells 100's of decent CD's, everything from the Beatles to Beethoven from the Happy Mondays to Hendrix! and even Madonna's Greatest Hits.. if that's your bag..

  10. .

Yeah, I'm working on getting that kick@ss sound system I saw the other day at Numchai Electronics, grandpa!

You're more than welcome to come over and check it out.... or just stay where you are and we'll just turn it up for ya'! *lights up bong*

    :o

What a T*T! I bet you walk around with a buddha round your neck trying to be Thai as well dont ya..

  11. I was in exactly the same boat as you last year when Blackpool made the L1 play offs. Basically you're out of luck mate, sorry. UBC dont give a toss and the only other satellite that show lower league footy is Supersports SA. They will be showing the Championship Play Off's, semi's and final Supersports. Link attached gives full football listings. Your only other bet is to get live radio coverage and listen on the internet. Alternatively there are many links on the internet where you can supposedly watch live footy. Never done this though.

Cheers Mate, Oh well, let's hope the mighty Whites get up this year so I can watch next years play-offs in the Championship!

  12. Anyone know where or if we can watch the League 1 Football Play Off's, most notably the Leeds v Carlisle (and hopefully the final!)..

I very much doubt UBC will be showing it, must be on a different sattelite

    Cheers & Beers

  13. Fair play and all that and each to their own... couple of major points though... He doesn't drink and doesn't take girls (from what you could see)..

    Need we say more?

Sure. Say more. Is being a whoremonger an unwritten requirement of residency here?

In the interests of truth telling, I own a nice place so no rent (and no car/moto) and do manage to spend a bit more than 28K baht a month here as I have some expensive vices (like Grape Nuts cereal). I also count in the costs of buying things like new furniture, electronics, and travel. It all adds up. I would have a hard time living on 28K total and wouldn't like what kind of place I could rent in that budget, but oh wll, I can see how it would be better than living on the same amount in faranglandia.

Who cares how much you spend?!?! I think that was the most uninteresting thread ive ever read

  14. Just to let you know guys, I went searching for the Bond Street shop yesterday and after asking quite a few people of neighbouring shops (to which nobody had heard of the place), one lady said it had closed down and pointed to the shop which I had just walked past, now inhabited by an indian who greeted me with the "awright geezer" opening... to which I clearly left..

I found another tailor shop... I'll let you know hopw it went.

    Cheers & Beers

  15. I'm happily retired. Anything wrong with that?

Anyway its way too warm to do anything other than sit here in my air-conditioned room

dreaming of Triple Whoppers or a couple of Big Macs.

My days of doing the pentathlon 2 times a week are long gone. :o

    cheers

    onzestan

    settle down.. i'm just jealous!
