  1. Hilarious SNL Golf Sketch
  2. I just completed this quiz. My Score 50/100 My Time 225 seconds
  3. I had a bad experience with JIB in The Mall, Korat. I needed a video card for my older PC. I told the man behind the counter what PC I had, and he gave me a card that he said would work. Well, it didn't work, the computer wouldn't start up. So. took it back. The guy that does computer repairs gave me another card and said it would work. This card cost about 1,000 baht less than the first one. But, they did not give me a refund, only store credit. So, I bought something else for the 1,000 baht. I brought the new card home and it didn't work either, again the computer wouldn't start. So, I went back again. This time, they said that I couldn't get a refund or store credit, because it's the second one that I was returning. Needless to say I was quite upset. I walked out with a useless card. I'll never shop at JIB again. So, be warned if you want to return something. You might get burned too. BTW, I got a card from Lazada that worked. I should have done that first.
  4. Only 3200 baht. Mine was 8,421 baht. We have 2 AC's running most of the time. We like to be comfortable, so I don't mind the cost.
  5. Is the tax return going to a PO Box? If so, sending it registered won't work. There is nobody there to sign for it. I make that mistake once sending my tax return registered to a PO Box, and it was returned as undeliverable. Also, my wife said the most all the Post Offices are closed for Songkran from day 12 to 15, so you may have trouble finding one that is open.
  6. I have a Syndome ECO II, Power Rating: 2200 VA / 1320 W. I have a PC, 2 monitors, router, True Visions box, and TV connected to it. It will supply power for about 30 minutes when the power goes out. I comes with software that I installed on the PC to monitor the UPS and I set it to shutdown the PC after 15 minutes. I had to put in a new battery after 2 1/2 years, I got it at IT City for 7,900 baht. There are cheaper ones with a lower power rating.
  7. My wife owns 3 stores, a convience store, pet mart and a hardware store. She works a lot - takes up most of her time. But, she makes over 500,000 baht a month. 14 years ago, I financed her to get started with the convience store. Within 2 years she paid me back and went on to open the other 2 stores with her profits. I'm really lucky to have her.
  8. The reason I asked is my US credit card will expire next month. The last time my card was up for renewal, the bank refused to send me a new one because I live in Thailand. They thought I was a security risk. After a few calls and complaining, they sent me a new card. So, I am exploring alternatives in case they won't send me a new card this time.
  9. Thank you for your experiences. I appreciate it. I haven't decided yet if I will get one or not.
  10. Does anyone have experience with using a Bangkok Bank ATM Card or Credit Card to buy things online in the US? I would like to know if it works before I go the trouble of getting the card(s) set up. Thanks.
