Hmmm better put a "food donation" entry fee when your guests arrive lol. Or just buy 2 bottles of Lao Khao for 80 baht each and get everyone so drunk they wont want food or will foget about eating. hehe.

I wondered when the stupid replies would start. My mum always said if you don't have anything relevant to say don't say anything at all. I am looking for somewhere nice for a takeaway meal - somewhere that delivers as I do not have transport. If anyone knows of anywhere again please let me know with a phone number and menu if possible.

Hey, can anyone tell me of any cheapish nice takeaways in Bangkok (around the Doakanong area). The only ones I know of are McDonalds (urgh), Pizza Company (very expensive) and Chefs XP (had some nice food from there but everything is really overpriced). If anyone know of anything, any cuisine, please can you let me know with a website address if possible or someway to see the menu. I'm thinking ahead to tonight already, got some friends coming over and I cannot cook to save my life haha.

This problem has been fixed by True now as far as I know. I haven't had any problems for the last two days.

I'm glad I'm not alone, it sorted itself out for a while this afternoon and now its back to normal. Some sites are fine whilst some completely time out. Hope they sort it out soon.

Please could you explain how to connect through a strongvpn server as I have never heard of it. It is weird as some sites work whilst some just won't load at all. I have cleared all my cookies and tried to load them in two different browsers and the results are the same.

For the last few hours I have been unable to connect to a number of sites. Most notably freelancer.com and wikipedia. I need these sites for my work especially freelancer and I don't know what to do. I have reset the internet box (I'm with True) and reset my laptop. Can anyone in the bangkok area confirm if they can access these sites, so at least I will know if it is a problem specific to me or if it is true or a thai problem. Thanks

I've been asked to write an article detailing about body guards in Thailand and just wondered if anyone here has any first hand experience in this area or could share a little of what they know. Can farrang be body guards, is it just Thais? Are bodyguards over here different to in western cultures? The Mall is pretty good, the one near us at Thapra has a large selection... floor 4 or 5 i think

have no consideration for other people or spacial awareness, if they want to completely block an isle in a supermarket because they have to re-fill the shelves, whats the problem ? or leave there shopping cart blocking an access whilst they wander off in another direction, thats fine. Dont bother parking/stopping the car correctly just stop and get out or stop in the middle of the road and have a chat with an oncoming car driver.

Lol this is the main one, its funny reading it now but it can be so frustrating. You can be walking down a narrow road (like where I live) and have one young thai girl in front of you on her mobile. How ever many times you try to pass her it is impossible as they seem to walk in an almost wave shape, zigzagging from one side of the path to the other... thought you had managed to get past her, nope there she is again. I don't think I would find it so annoying but when they are walking at (no exaggeration) snail pace and you are in a hurry it drives me crazy! My Thai friends are the same though, you can be walking next to them one minute, and then the next you know they have cut right in front of you so you are struggling not to trip over them
