Basically we towed the car back to Star Flag, they fixed it. I paid the bill, then told my contact there of the costs I incurred to deal with this and that I expect to be reimbursed. They said it was a mistake and didn't reimburse me for my costs. It's not worth chasing beyond that.
I didn't really care about the money but out of principle if they didn't compensate me I wouldn't do business with them again. I was in the process of buying a new S class at the time (which my contact there knew about) so the way they handled this lost them a sale.
Shortly after, the 2nd battery failed as well. We brought the car to Benz Taling Chan instead. Sorted it out very quickly and haven't had any issues since. It was my first time there but I was really impressed with the service. They were ready on time.
Star Flag is known to be one of the worse dealers and service centers for Mercedes. Just about everyone I know have had a bad experience dealing with them. I was in the market for one of the AMG models and contacted them for information and they never got back to me, so went to the showroom and they couldn't be less interested in selling me a car.

I use spotify, on my mobile. I pay for it and I have a mobile data package. So i stream music on my phone that goes to the car audio. Works perfect. There is also a free version of spotify only I am not sure you can download songs with the free version. You can play them but then you need a data package on your phone.
I'm also using Spotify off my cousin's shared plan and like it, another option could be Apple Music. Selection is pretty much the same as Spotify and you get the first 3 months free.

Don’t have a 5G phone but did try speed test on a Galaxy S20 Ultra at an AIS shop, speeds were averaging around 1 gbps. A friend of mine also uses the S20 Ultra on True and on 5G got around 300-400 mbps.

I think a majority of posters think that Thai Chana is an app everyone needs to download on their phones. It is not. at least not right now.
Before you go in the malls or supermarket, you scan a QR code and it opens a website that shows time and name of shop, enter your phone number and check in. You could probably use a random number because no one actually checks it. And when you leave scan the code and checkout.

Which Apple App store did you use?
Thai store, but it’s a bit strange for some reason it doesn’t appear when you search for it. I had to go https://www.hbogo.co.th/#mobile and click the link for the App Store to download it.

Glad to have HBO Go and their live channels back, good value at just THB 149 too. Hopefully they will bring the Thai subtitles with English audio and English subtitles with Thai audio options to the app too, they had it when they were using AIS as the service provider so I'd imagine (hope) it's only matter of time.
Just downloaded the app on my iPhone and signed up for free trial, so far pretty impressed. Has the option to turn on/off subtitles and change audio language similar to Netflix, and from what I can tell nothing seems censored.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be and for Apple TV or my LG Smart TV but you and Airplay or cast it from the app.- 1

Hopefully can subscribe to HBO separately without the internet. Had 3BB Fiber before and my experience with them was terrible. Speeds never reached what was advertised and their customer service and call center are seemed clueless when dealing with them.

I emailed HBO Asia when AIS announce they were dropping HBO asking them to consider launching HBO GO in as a stand-alone service like Netflix.
They actually replied a couple days ago saying they would make surprise announcement for Thailand soon.
So my guess is that we’re getting HBO GO as a stand-alone without have to subscribe to True or AIS.- 1

HBO is the only good thing about AIS Play. Hopefully they will launch HBO GO as a stand alone streaming service like Netflix so we don't have keep switching providers. They just launched in Singapore and the Philippines so maybe could happen.

They obviously didn't have the right connections, a couple months ago at the Starbucks at CDC I saw a lady with at least 10 shopping bags from LV, Chanel, Gucci and Prada ect., she was obviously there to deliver them to people who "preordered" them as there was a steady stream of people picking them up.

Cool, will give it a try next time.

Recently returned from a trip the US with my Thai wife. We landed in SFO and I went through immigration with my US Passport and was cleared in less than 15 mins. She, however, went in the foreign passport line but because there was another flight that landed before ours there was a really long line and it took almost 2 hours for her to get through.
Thought didn't cross my mind before, but I was wondering if it was possible for her to accompany me through the US passport line since we are traveling together. Has anyone done this?

I was looking forward to canceling True, because it has most of the channels I that watch with the exception of History and Discovery. Only problem is that I called AIS to asking about purchasing an additional playbox to watch on my other tvs, and they said I couldn't. Only way to watch on more than one tv would be to buy a chromecast or stream it on you smart tv via smartphone.
Even then the packages can be only be watched by 1 person can watch at a time, with no option to pay extra for multiple viewing. So I guess each person would have to pay their own package.

Already talked with AIS and they are looking into it. Just wanted to see if anyone having similar problem.

On the PowerHome 100/10 package and been using it for about 4 months and it has been rock solid, always getting 100+ mbps whenever running a speed test. This week it seems that my speeds have dropped significantly, my speed tests from Ookla and Testmy.net have varied from 10-50 mbps. Playing videos on YouTube and watching Netflix takes longer than normal to load, and for some reason my IP address is now showing that I am I Khon Kaen, instead of Bangkok.

Too bad they didn't do this sooner, probably would still be using them. For me the fiber2u was very stable and fast, never had any major problems and when I called the call center with problems they were quick to come out and fix it.
Only issue I had was that they were expensive compared to 3BB and AIS, so I cancelled and switched to AIS.

I am watching Nat Geo now, they have not been dropped yet.
There used to be 2 Nat Geo channels, one in SD and one in HD. They dropped the SD feed.

But all of those channels were already dropped, why the announcement now?

Quote
TrueVisions said it has replaced the six channels with internationally popular channels and has provided more privileges to its customers as compensation.
The six channels are total crap with a lot of commercials, nowhere near as good as HBO.
QuoteThose who subscribe to the top package of Platinum will receive 1,000 True Bonus points for spending to buy goods and services from True partners.
How is this fair compensation, the only people that benefit from this is True. I'm about to cancel my subscription, I hope the class action lawsuit bankrupts them.

Based on comparison of the new channels to the now gone HBO channels, it's like exchanging a gold medal and getting a bronze medal in return for the same price.
Bronze seems generous!

I had a similar issue with you but fortunately, it turned out a bit better. I bought an iPhone 6 Plus from Apple directly on the website and had a problem with the camera. It was past the 14-day return policy but still under warranty and when I called Apple directly about it, they told me that at here in Thailand they do not repair anything and will just give you a new phone if its under warranty, even if bought from an official retailer.
So had to take it to anyone of the iCare, iMedic or whatever they call them here and got a new one in about 2 days.
I think Studio7 is giving you the run around about it taking 3-4 weeks, because from what I hear Comseven (company that own Studio7 and BananaIT) are one of the worst companies to deal with in regards to after sales service.

arkom,
One more question for you and assuming your have the Hauwei 8245H AIS provided router, what does your WAN page setting look like in the router once set to bridge mode?
"I think" once set to bridge mode the WAN settings page in the router will show different settings based on a youtube video I looked at. Here's what my AIS Fibre-provided WAN setting page looks like for my fibre 50/10 plan (no option to change anything...just shows what the setting connection type is) as it came from AIS. "I think" once set to bridge mode this page will look different? Thanks.
6I do have the same router but unfortunately, I can not access it as my MacBook does not have an ethernet port.

arkom,
May I ask what kind of "international" speeds using testmy.net you get with your AIS 100/10 plan? Thanks.
Singapore
LA
NY
London
I should mention that I am using an older Apple AirportExpress N router with an ethernet port that technically maxes out at 100mbps. Will be getting a new AC router next week, so hopefully the speeds should improve.

I am using the 100/10 plan and can confirm that you do bridge mode on the AIS powerhome plan, but you will need to call them up and have them do it remotely.

We have the same problem, they appeared couple days ago and also saw them coming from the ceiling and downlighting on the 2nd floor of the house. Looked outside and saw the insect screen that over hangs our roof had holes in a couple places, I figure that is how they are getting in as I rarely see any downstairs. Will be getting it patched and inspected in a few days so hopefully it helps.
I asked our extermination company and they said unfortunately there's not much we can do expect try to make our house as dark as possible when they arrive. Was told chances of a colony is very slim because they only live for a couple hours and outside the time they arrive I have never seen one in our house.
