    Too Funny :D:D

since martin has past away, SFC has gone right down, the food is terrible, the staff was rude and they dont seem to be bothered and yes Sunnee was there, i be surprise if its still there in 12 months. i wont be going there again, its a shame really as it was a very good place to eat/drink/meet others

  5. So if the father is not named on the childs birth certificate in TWO places, as has been indicated by other poster - will the father still be able to register the childs birth at British Embassy?

    YES

I do think the child should be registered, then a British passport can be obtained for the child. Just in case :)

NO NEED TO REGISTERED THE BIRTH, YOU CAN JUST GET THE BRITISH PASSPORT LIKE I DID, WITH OUT MY WIFE SHE DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO SIGN ANYTHING

""However, for instance abduct the child and you will find out it will be considerd kidknapping""

    NOT

GENERAL INFORMATION: Parental Kidnapping is not a crime in Thailand and Thai authorities will not issue a warrant or become involved should one parent take a child without the other parent's authorization. The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction

  6. i have a thai daughter, i have a british passport which cost me £88 and a thai passport which cost me £16, so with that in mind you wont have any problems,

you say "the airline questioned my daughter not having a visa" well they didnt stop her from going/flying, so i would do the same again and when in bangkok get her a passport

  7. You have to wait till a baby is 6 months old to get a DNA test done. A friend of mine with a Thai wife was suspcious about "their" baby, as he remembered his wife always being too tired or having a headache at the time conception must have occurred. He confirmed with a DNA test at 6 months that the father was a farang but not him. They got divorced and naturally he lost the house and another piece of land he had bought in her name.

    BULLSHIT

you do not have to wait 6 months i had my baby done when she was 4 days old at ramathibodi hospital bangkok, they even take a photo of us, i said i only wanted me and the baby done , they said its best for all of you do have it done ( just in case they made a mix up at birth) 5000tb each 15000tb in total plus 300tb to have the results sent to the uk, it takes about 4 weeks, the reason i had it done was for my parents

  8. Tile cost is anywhere from 100 baht per square meter up. You choose the tile price by brand and quality. Average cost of tile is about 300 to 500 baht per square meter. Labor for a decent tile man is about 150 baht per square meter. The rest is the tile cement and grouting. Very cheap. But you don't mention is the floor area already to lay the tile? Or is it already tiled and needs removal first? All this adds cost for the labor.

i belive it is ready to lay

    am i right in saying

    tile 300 sqm

    labour 150 sqm

    t-cement/grout 50 sqm

    = 500 baht so 6m x 8m room = 24,000 baht

if it is looks like her having the 100 baht ones :)

    thanks

    i really appreciate it

  9. can anyone give me a rough idea how much the total cost would be, to tile a floor 6 metre x 8 metre including materials ...

    any advice will be appreciate

    thankx

  10. Looking at their website, it seems to me that the only account type that issues this bank card is a current account.

Which would mean a lot of b*ll*cking about moving my mortgage, standing orders, direct debits, informing my employers etc, etc???

I would like to be issued with card just for a passbook savings type account, or even an "E-Plus" account i see advertised on the site.............but no mention of this Flex Card thats a supposidly good card to have.

    Penkoprod

i have just opened a current account (flexaccount - current account is the same) last week, still waiting for my card to come in the post, i have put 100 pound in to the account, ive told them that i only want to use my card while im in thailand, they say ok. they even gave me a overdraft, ( but i will give my wife the card next week while im in thailand so when i come back home to the uk i can put money in the account on line and tell her how much so she can withdraw it ) you dont have to move your mortgage, standing orders, direct debits, informing my employers etc, etc

  11. Big different between Bt520 and Bt 1020, Do you have Air Con(?) It could be hard press to tell exactly what other family member are doing when you are out, i.e., extra long shower on hot afternoon, old water pump run big time, AC open longer, Fans going most of the day, etc or just many little things that are hardly notice will add up in the end. I as recall sometime ago a Thai friend :D was telling me about a different FTS(??) rate once you use over a certain number of Unit, the rate was higher, maybe someone here as more knowledge on what ever this Fts rate is. :):D

    yes u are right

    look on here under Utilities

    cost

  12. I want to send 250,000 tb to my wife in Thailand to a buy a little house/land, what is the best way to do it ?,

is it send it from my bank (HSBC) in sterling to her bank (BANGKOK BANK LTD), when I do it I will tell my bank that's it is to buy house/land. they will give me a receipt, and is that what I show the Land Office when buying the property,

or any suggestion which is the easy way to do it

also can I have the house/land in my daughters name (8 weeks old), as I was thinking if we did ever split up, it would be much harder for her to get her hands on the house/land,

but if it was in my daughters name would that make any difference if I wanted to make the house bigger

mmmm so much to decide :o

    thanks all
