  1. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't really know much about the situation regarding their current employment contract situation and future employment. From what I gather, the new school doesn't want them to leave the country as the new semester starts at the beginning of July and they need them to teach. I was asked for advice from a close Thai friend regarding the visa situation last night. I told them that I believe it may be possible. They were communicating this directly with the director. I suggested that it might be best not to rely on my own lack of knowledge and instead wait for the advice from the experts on this forum! I really appreciate your quick response. Have a good day.
  2. A teacher on a non b wishes to move to a new school in a different province. The new school does not want them to leave the country to make a new non b visa as they need them to start immediately. Is it possible for the teacher to do this without leaving the country to makea new visa? If so, could someone explain how. ????
  3. Is it possible to complete the whole extension process, including the financial requirements letter from the bank, early?
  4. I have my extension for my non o in 5 months time. However, my passport expires in 15 months from now. Will they give an extension to the expiry date of my passport or 1 more year? If to the expiry date, will they subsequently give 12 months from then on with each extension in a new passport?
  5. I have a non-o visa based on retirement. I returned from abroad on a re-entry permit last month. I have received the reminder notification email from immigration to submit my 90 day report. According to the immigration website, a 90 day report should be done, 'If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.' Do I continue the 90 day reporting online based on my Non-O visa and the notification? or Do I start reporting 90 days after arriving last month on a re-entry permit? Thanks
  6. I will be cancelling my current reason for stay from work to retirement very soon. My work will take me to immigration with the relevant documents to cancel my current reason for stay on the last day of my existing contract. I will then have only that afternoon to submit all the relevant documents to change the reason for stay to retirement. What happens if it is rejected? How many days will I have to find a solution until I have to leave the country? Thank you in advance.
  7. In 2 weeks I will be changing my reason of stay from work to retirement (800k). I am preparing the documents at the moment. Is there anything more required than the list I have prepared below? 1. Passport including TM47 (90 day) + copies 2. TM 30 (copied from passport) 3. TM 7 Application for extension of temporary stay in the Kingdom 4. Acknowledgement of the conditions for permitted continuation of stay in the Kingdom of Thailand form 5. Hand-drawn map of house location 6. Updated bankbook (on day of the application) 7. Bank letter showing 800k deposited in account from abroad 2 months before application (on day of the application) 8. Passport photos 9. Visa fee In addition, is COVID insurance, or any other health insurance, required for the application? Thank you in advance.
  8. @ubonjoe, thank you for your prompt replies on everything and clearing up a lot of my misunderstandings. Thank you very much,
  9. Can I change my current reason of stay (work) to retirement at any immigration office in my province, or does any of the process have to be done at my current immigration office where I do my extensions and 90 day reporting? Note: My current extension is to the end of September. I will be changing my reason of stay in May,
  10. I will be applying to change my reason for stay to retirement soon. My current extension of stay is based on work and valid until the end of September 2022. On the day my work permit is cancelled, do I need to go to immigration and apply for a change to the reason of stay to retirement? Is there a grace period? If so, how long? Thanks in advance.
