I am American and have a condo in Thailand. Someone potentially offered to pay me dollars - from his account to mine - here in America - to buy my condo in Thailand.
From my understanding (not allot) this will not work.
As I understand it - he needs to transfer the dollars to his bank in Thailand - than buy a condo. Is that right?
I have never seen this question come up.
I bought the condo from a French Guy years ago. I used a real estate company in Thailand to handle the transfer of title to my name - so I wasn't there at the land office for the deal, however it worked out perfect.
I'm in no rush to sell - as we see the Baht getting so strong - maybe back to 1997 levels.
