Pleased for Rlc his recent cameo,s have rightly got him a start...same for Chalobah. No surprise to see Mount not start given his full 90mins for England. Good chance for Sarr as well who played a lot better in his last game than he did on his debut. This should be lively..coyb -

Was looking forward to this coming game ....but finding out that totally inept twatt Anthony Taylor is in charge has somewhat taken the shine off....well for me it has. Nice brace by Timo last night...good for him. -

Great watch... though might not have said that if we didn,t win.Thought the sending off wash harsh given the conditions. Thought Southampton played very well and have a lot going for them. Very very pleased for Rlc thought he had a cracking game,Tommy bringing on Mount was the key for me (the proverbial game changer) and Werner deserved his goal....just a bummer there is now an International break. -

I was just staggered at the low points total of 75....and not staggered at the fact you knew that. As for today looking forward to seeng Werner and Rom up front again...3-0 for me. -

Sometimes you just need a bit of luck...all good teams can struggle every now and again to break some stubborn well drilled defences down..then hey presto a lucky deflection and your in ????...or sometimes not.???? Crosses have to be "on the money" and last night too many were under hit over hit too high too low or just simply not quick enough. We are not even in October yet and already some teams are feeling it...Leeds are last years Sheff utd..sinking fast.... why?....last season took a lot out of the players what with covid and euro comps and now world cup qualification games....April/May is going to seem like a foooking long way off for some....i expect the standard of play for all teams to drop at some point and the Epl this year/season will probably be won with the lowest points total ever imho. -

It was a bog and the most disorganised and chaotic round of golf i have ever been a part of. I wont go into the gory details of a high ranking 6 ball of coppers or a women's 4 ball that most of our 19 players were behind. (some started on hole 5 and some on hole 6 as opposed to all starting at the 1st). The tees were all over the place ie red and yellow tees same T box most of the time just 3 yards apart. Then the yellow tees would be on a completely different T box. T box markers with the hole layout on had the Hole number the distances for Red white yellow Blue and the stroke index...though the stroke index did not match on some holes the stroke index that was on the scorecard....and of course the yellow Tees should not have been on the same t Box as the reds and should not have been in front of the whites, and a downhill par 3 with from memory just one bunker on the right hand side was index 3 and was less than 160yards. No carts on the course fair enough and plugged balls from drives and approach shots were the norm and going through the back of the green on most holes was also the norm as the greens were like concrete.(Yeah weird) Not difficult to put what is wrong right, but i personally would not go back there again until the course has dried out....and only if it is still 1150baht all in. Put a fork in me ...i,m done. -

Tommy got that all wrong if the players played to his 1st half instructions. Havertz Ziyech Mount Pulisic...one of them has to play if your going to play Werner and Rom ...which i have no problem with. Hopefully we learn from.that and move on. -

Interesting...can see kante being the furthest forward behind Timo and Rom...line up says to me "city you can have the ball...but loose it in the wrong place, and we r going to hurt ya"...hopefully. coyb -

I was right it was a good watch imo. Chilwell got no change out of Cash for most of the game and took a lacklustre penalty. Cho chose the fancy option a few times when not necessary, but i thought most of the other lads had a good game. Sarr was pretty solid on the left side of a back 3, Saul was a lot better than he was on his debut (against Villa) Rubens was solid and made some nice moves,Werner full of energy as usual Chalobah was very good, some may fault him for there goal but it was a very good cross by Cash and a great header by Archer, nothing that Kepa could do about that. Kepa was solid and Tommy has done a great with him along with the goalkeeping coaches. Well done lads. -

Pleased for Kepa, got a run out didn,t let anyone down, and good for his confidence. Roman was probably pleased by that as well nobody wants to spunk 70 odd mill on a dud. He will get more games and with a consistent defence in front of him...can only be good for everyone. Great second half and all that but there is still loads to come from this squad...i still think both Pulisic and Werner will benefit from big Roms presence. Chance for a few to put themselves in the January shop window tomorrow.....should be a good watch.imho -

Not for me this is 0-3 all day long...so far all my Chelsea bankers have been 4-0..and all have finished 3-0 (well 2 of em have) sooooo i now go 3 nil and guess what......wait till tomorrow. If and it,s a big if and Tommy starts Werner with Rom..then there gonna have to get that scoreboard from the Oval installed. coyb -

That was hard work, so got to give full credit to Zenit. We stayed calm and got the result we wanted and hopefully everyone finished the game unscathed. Thought Kovacic and Rudiger were both excellent...and it is imo difficult to see Rom ...not scoring. -

Also nice for us Blues fans...is to see Conor doing really well at Palace now that Vieira is playing him further forward and Marc Guehi doing a good job in the Palace defence (think we have a buy option on him)..added to that Broja so nearly won the game for Saints (nice little 14 minute cameo) and Livramento performing really well in his starts for the saints defence (again i think we have a buy option on him). Great opportunity awaits Barkley in the Carling Cup game coming up against Villa (he is bound to start imo) play well and another loan or possible sale will be on for him in January. -

Definitely had the rub of the green there ...in refereeing decisions all 50/50s went our way and even the 60/40 to Villa went our way.despite that we were worthy winners imo. 1st half good bad and ugly, but we came through and although we were somewhat fortunate to keep Villa out i trusted our boss would make the necessary changes at h/time which he did and deep down thought Villa would not be able to match there 1st half performance or be allowed to. 1st game back after a break was always going to be a bit of a fact finder....fact is our keeper is top notch and so is the defence...and Lukaku is nailed on to score 30 goals. All good then.
