Thailand occupies twice the land mass that the UK does, 198K square miles versus 98,000, yet it has a similar sized population.
so they need to build a lot more 5-star hotels and airports in Nakhon Nowhere....

Judging by the amount of time that Thai (and other) kids spend on their phones, it already has replaced teachers.
Lucky that the phones are smart phones, because the kids no longer need to be.

"Thailand takes corruption cases very seriously and on conviction officers could face years behind bars.
At least three have the word general in their titles."
so do many politicians.......
lucky that Thailand has so many spare Generals sitting around with little or nothing to do.

"Chevron Thailand Vice President Ronnarong Chanleka said the company plans to develop petroleum exploration and production at its awarded block to boost Thailand’s energy stability and to deliver clean energy so the country can achieve its net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2050."
Yes that will surely help

I wonder why they have changed the route to go via Sukhothtai instead of Uttaradit? Those lines are currently undergoing dual track upgrades so what is the point of that if the high speed is not using them?
TAT wants more tourists in Sukhothai to look at the ruined temples.....

"there is still work to be done to encourage more people to save money."
tell them it is longstanding pillar of Thainess / Thai culture.
A Royal Decree will help.

from reading your link without paywall, it looks like spooks don't know much and how credible their source is. It's their new source. Some believe this source is not credible. It can't be compared to Hersh very exact details:
"The review of newly collected intelligence suggests they were opponents of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, but does not specify the members of the group, or who directed or paid for the operation. U.S. officials declined to disclose the nature of the intelligence, how it was obtained or any details of the strength of the evidence it contains. They have said that there are no firm conclusions about it, leaving open the possibility that the operation might have been conducted off the books by a proxy force with connections to the Ukrainian government or its security services."
So why the senate and house can't form investigative body, why president can't order reports from all security agencies? That is because an answer is already well known to them?
Why america and the UK openly oppose investigation by the UN security council?
That would be the best way for them to clear their name in eyes of an international opinion.
That is a better way than throwing baseless accusations around to offend their partners.
We look forward to the Leaked intelligence emails. Where is Julian Assange when you need him?

You've confused schoolgirls uniforms with university students uniforms.
The belt buckles are for university uniforms.
I wear my Thai ladies university belt every day.
I blame the Yanks: "In the United States, the words 'school', 'college', and 'university' are used interchangeably in speech when referring to higher education institutions."

Russian version is that everyone seated at the table has to propose a toast, immediately followed by gulping the contents of/emptying your vodka glass (sometimes throwing it in the fireplace)
OK if there are 4 at the table. Not so easy if there are 10+ at the table.

Surely the military junta could reduce the number of protests about (lack of) democracy by demolishing the Democracy Monument?? It just serves as a rallying point... not sure what it actually represents.
