  1. (Sorry, I am late and did not read the whole thing ...)

The lawsuit seems futile to me, there are so many examples where the law is even never enforced !

But I have asuggestion : why not create a (public) database of places "to avoid", i.e. where double-pricing exists.

Such a data-base (on the Internet) could be checked by town, when one goes somewhere, take notice of the "places to avoid" since I beleive (publicized) boycott is the ONLY way !

You have to ask what percentage of Thailand's population do farang constitute? And what percentage of those farang would take part in this boycoot? And what effect would this extremely small proportion of the total population of Thailand have? I suspect the answer would be none...

  2. At T5 a few bags went missing. At Suvarnabhumi the problems are too numerous to mention. Cracked runways, leaking roofs, the fire truck scandal, the CTX scanner scandal, King Power Duty Free breaking regulations, etc, etc, etc.

Suvarnabhumi is unfit for purpose, even after 30 years in planning and development.

    Doing well you say?

At T5 26,000 bags went missing. Apparently they're in Milan being sorted at the moment...

  3. Regardless of the merits of the Op's original argument does Thai law recognise such a thing as a 'class action' lawsuit? Isn't it a peculiarly American thing? I stand to be corrected but 'class action' lawsuits aren't valid in the UK and, I suspect, in many other countries.

  4. If you're doing file backups you might want to try VersionBackup (www.versionbackup.sb-aw.com). It's free for non-commercial use and it will keep an archive of backups rather than just overwriting the previous backup so you can keep, say, 5 sets of backups.

  5. The truth is that for most people wealth is accumulated over time!

Most of us will not be successful independent business owners.

Well you wont if you dont try..

Even a Barber in the USA can accumulate $1.100.000. To do this takes sacrifices, being frugal, saving , and not spending most of what you have for toys.

For example myself. I have a job that I have hated for the last ten years. I am not self employed. I work very hard. The Masters always want more and are never satisfied with anything you do. I am under a lot of stress. However, in two years two and a half months. I will be able to retire. I will be 55 years old.

I started real work (as opposed to bumming around the world hitchiking and roughing it) at 21 or 22.. I retired for life at 28.. I had a pan Euro company with 400 employees. No way I was gonna grind it out to 55.

If it's not being rude can I ask what kind of company it was and how did you from zero to retirfement in 6 years? Sounds like a fascinating story.

  6. It's a Logitech Fusion. Is there a list of supported hardware anywhere? I use Money 2004 because it talks directly to my UK bank and understands the UK tax system (and doesn't require upgrading every 2 years as Money 2005 onwards does).

  7. I just found bbc channel 4 last week because the swedish newspage I usually read work so slow these days. I find bbc 4 exellent in all aspects. May I ask what profile the channel 4 have in UK? I mean I know what status the sun, herald tribune have and so on. But what semgent is mainly listening to bbc channel 4?

If you're talking about radio 4 it's mainly listened to by what's called in the UK the middle class. An excellent programme which coivers everything from Kierkegarrd to plate tectonics.
