It's all about conserving heat, not necessarily producing it. Your body produces a lot of heat by itself.
Did you know that about 70% of body heat escapes through your head and feet? (30% through your your hands)?, I have heard tho
So I would guess, your first priority is to cover your feet and your head.
Myth, as proven on myth busters.

Only way a Hooters could work here - import or implant.

Rental accomodation is far cheaper than the UK.
I pay 7000 baht, incl electric, water, internet cable and cable TV.
That is in a 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and WC.
As said, it's all the things that we left in the west, which cost so much more.

Where to do you eat in Bangkok and Pattaya where the waitresses dress provocatively but with clothes. Let me know your favorite place and also, how the food is. I'm not interested in beer bars, strip joints, etc.
I dunno about that but during Decemebr i saw some very "sexy" Santas at Robinsons I think it was pwhoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!!
Yeah , but what remains when she throws away the padded bra ? Whoops , did I say a mouthfull ?
sendbaht already said it "raisins"

I love them.
There is also much benefit to the Thai economy.
Staff who work in them, and they are huge employers, pay taxes.
Most of the locals shop in them, and resell at a profit.
Thais now realise that they don't have to eat the crap sold to them in the open markets.
They realise they can have clean meat that hasn't been hanging around on a stall all day at 30 degrees, and free of road dust and fly sh^t.
Most of these chain stores sponsor local charities.
And don't forget, we are now into the 21st century!
Wake UP.

I thought you had been in Thailand longer than that? Poverty in Thailand may not be noticeable if you spend a lot of time in the Hard Rock Cafe type places, but there are a lot of people in Issan and other parts of the country who find it hard to get enough to eat every day. Even in BKK, do you think those kids out in the middle of the street selling flower garlands are there because they enjoy it?
Yes, I know there are "professional beggers", but there also are thousands of children around Thailand who barely get two meals a day...if they are that lucky. A lot of children are going to school hungry....and they are the lucky ones who are able to go to school.
What a load of CR!P

Mrs. Doorn , the owner of the Bank account, said she had been a customer of the South Pattaya branch of Kasikorn Bank for more than 8 years. She had an ATM Card for her convenience to withdraw cash up to a maximum of about 20,000 baht a day. On the 1st July this year, she had transferred 7000 baht to her son at Nongkai through the bank ATM service. The couple claimed that they did not have any Thai friends or relatives in Thailand. However, Mr. Waigoon promised to refer their case to the head office in Bangkok as soon as possible
I can only assume from these conflicting statements, that a son in the Dutch language does not mean a relative, as in English????
Either that, or there is a Nongkai in Holland as well!!!

Shame some science buff cannot invent some sort of sonic signal generator, that you could point at the speakers and cause them so much feed back, they would blow.

Is there a Thai Law forum??

Thanks Gary! It's interesting and sad to say the least.
I watched all 5 and felt sadden for these women. It's not a matter of choice for them, but a matter of survival.
What utter rubbish, it's always a matter of choice, governed by self respect.

But quoting....another post ?....I'm lostLaoPo
You click on the Quote button of each post you want added as a quote (the button will turn red). Then you click on the Add Reply not the Reply button.Click on +quote of 10, it should turn to a minus,
then move down to P11 and click on +quote, again it should turn to a minus,
then do the same thing on P12.
Scroll to the bottom of the posts and click on Add reply.
Then you can edit your dialogue boxes.
Always ensure you are between the individual quotes, or they will become confused in the original posts.
Moss
it should turn to a minus,I forgot about the colored challenged.
?????????????????

Moss,
"Try hitting the "quote" button at the bottom right-hand of each post you want to quote." Once you have selected the posts you wish to quote, hit the "add reply" button. This will open up the text editor with all your quotes already in place, and you then type your post as usual.
Scouse.

Instead of declaring an extra public holiday, wouldn't be better to declare a public work day.
Thailand must have one of the greatest number of public holidays in the world, many of them alcohol free!!

And so my post, which contains my opinion should be censored because it does not fit in with your beliefs?
Whatever my beliefs, I feel your comment falls under the "religious or racial slur" rule.
No, it is not a religious slur.
My comments are a criticism of a festival that I have no affinity to that has been imposed on me (all of us) whether we like it or not.
It is something that I find to be quite inconvenient and given the choice I would prefer that we are spared of it, but I can do nothing about that. Likewise with new year, it is just another day on the calendar.
Anyway, get back on topic, what are you doing for Christmas?
Beach bar/restaurant with friends

Bah Humbug.
"I really can't be arsed with all of this crap, sure it's great for kids but for me it is just a major pain in the arse and all because of something that happened to some bloke 2000 odd years ago."
It's not all bad though because my now traditional holiday to Koh Samet with friends and family is now booked. GET IN!!!!!!. I absolutely love going to the beach and being in Bangkok all year round makes it even more exciting. I may even get a little festive and have a turkey roast on the beach (depending on the severity of my hangover).
So what are the TV lot doing then?
Going to the beach such as myself? Somewhere nice inland? Staying home with friends/family? or just sat on cowboy/nana/walking street sucking on a bottle of chang?
Hopefully a moderator will delete your anti Christian post
