Lat month, I visited Patong for the first time in 15 years or so. My how it has grown! I liked it. Like a low-key Patty. Gone is the Subway Sandwich shop and apartment I stayed in. Puckett is way cool.

Depends also on the quality of the meat. I remember Hat yai had superior dishes , even the rice porridge soup tasted better....this was years ago.

OK, this is a bit of hopeful fishing. I was last in Thailand 7 months ago and at that time I noticed that Viper bar in Jomtien and a few others on walking street didn't have any CHEAP DRAFT BEER! What's the scoop.?Draft beer is a bar hoppers standby. :) Tell me draft beer is making a comeback!

Of course this is a good philosophy and nobody is saying that there is no place for drugs, especially in emergency situations. As for "conditions that have developed" not being reversible by Carnivore/Ketogenic or other dietary changes as well as other lifestyle changes, I beg to disagree though of course it depends on what that condition is. You might be surprised to see obesity and even heart disease being reversed(the later is very difficult but possible) by dietary change (leading to weight loss). Just search on YouTube.

Starbucks Thailand Reveals Plan to Open 335 New Outlets by 2030
BugJackBaron replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have never seen a shop in Thailand that is cashless though I have seen "cashless preferred" signs. As for Starbucks, I did enjoy the free newspaper back in the day when people read em. . The nostalgia factor I guess. Yes they do have alternative milks such as almond "milk"which is something Amazon should pick up on. Not sure how good the Internet WiFi is but Amazon is pretty fast for the digital nomads who want to work there. And for a basic cup of decent black coffee,no you shouldn't be paying more than 40 Baht as they charge in Amazon. -

Sometimes I long for a good tuna sandwich . Alas, only in Bangkok have I seen some half decent ones. -

The latest market on Jomtien beach road seems cooler than the old one that was playing very bland music kast week and seemed very boring compated to in the past. Down the road is the new Jomtien beach Miami market which had a cooler vibe with Kareoke!. Who else digs it?

The blue shop in Fortune town will get you a fantastic laptop from the thinkpad lineup. Unfortuantely, it's in Bangkok but at least it's on the mrt.

So Israelis like before, and how about the others? Thai? young backpackers? I would expect some cannibals scene as it was always underground. Has it got bigger than 12 years ago? Are there still 20 dollar a night hostels to be found>?

It was like that in Jomtien too with a lot of the tourists Thai or Vietnamese.

How is Pai doing? Any expats still living there, tourism picking up? Been years since I was there What's the scene like?

Seems like this forum has been dead since 2021 so let's breathe some life into it! Planning to make my first trip ever to Krabi in July. What's the scoop now for reasonable guesthouses(20-40 buck range) and restaurants. Decent place for steak? Good deals available. Inquiring minds want to know!

The original was an overated, vile series anyways - with the only good charcter and character dynamic (the cop) being killed off in the first series.
