  1. Hmmm, how long before the DAAD return to the fray I wonder?

not long, not long......sad enough................therefore someone needs to lift the 'state of emergency'. just to allow them to come back and the killings continue...........i dunno what to say....my throat is choked with fear........

  2. Some hypothetical questions. (I realize monitoring is not realistic, so please use your imagination and try to answer seriously)

1.Would any of the PAD supporters here accept the outcome of a referendum if it was monitored to ensure it was fair....and the questions put forward were agreed to by both the government and the PAD?

3.Do you believe Sondhi would recognize the majorities vote if it did not go in his favor?

    welcome back, fatty.

first: "Did I come in here last night, and spend 10,000 baht? I did? Oh thank God.....I thought I'd lost it !!" i think: "you've lost it"...

second: what do you think is fair?

third: who do you think is sondhi in thai history? what is a majority in thailand? nowadays? what do you think about 'corruption'?

  3. I thought 7-11 was an American company.....
Correct they are an American company. CP has the concession for 7-11 in Thailand. They pay 7-11 for the right to use the 7-11 name. It's the same for McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and etc.

etc. includes disney, coca-cola and all the other american octopussies, successfully pressing the last cent from poor uneducated advertising tv addicts........now they also conquered china recently...............my god......"eli eli lama sabachthani"

  4. Most of what I have seen tonight is the same old crap. Along with a lot of insulting. inflammatory and derogatory comments.....

Most of what I have seen tonight is the same old crap. Along with a lot of insulting. inflammatory and derogatory comments.

what 'ubonjoe' wants to tell the forum? funny, isn't it? or not?

  5. Well said, Tony. Under PAD proposals, the poor and uneducated will be denied any right to vote or participate in decision making, they will in fact become an under-class. The Bangkok elite would be quite happy to see these children used as objects of abuse, as long as the profits continue to come their way.

BECOME 'underclass'? 'underclass' are those who buy votes! let's get rid of them, laeow laeow.....(เร็วเร็ว)

  6. Oh it's always the same old anti-thakisn brigade with the same old sky is falling 'vote buying' stories. You know as well as anyone, the Isaan and Northern voters (the majority) would vote for these guys with or without ANY money. You just won't admit it publicly.
Then why spend the millions of baht, if not billions, buying votes if they were so secure in a victory?
Who told you they did? Thaivisa.com?

I tell you! how many more millions you need? you look pretty old to me..............

  7. As always, you state facts that are in clear contradiction of eyewitness reports, i.e. PAD guards whipped up into a frenzy from the stage and then sent to repulse DAAD at the bridge. DAAD did not attack the PAD demo at Gov. Hse. Had they done so, the defence of "self-defence" could have been used.

oh kitty i love your comments so very much. if i understand you rite, daad have never ever done anything wrong. all aggression is going out from pad. true? please, make us believe you!

  8. ....As for Wikipedia, anyone can go there and put any information in that they like. I used to use it for promoting our restaurant, but wouldn't use it for finding information. I thought it was pretty lame, if it just let guys like me go on and change things on there

yeah kurt, it's pretty lame to let guys like you change wikipedia. maybe someone is going to change it back, please. they've got moderators who take their job serious and readers who report abuse and are respected. you will not long enjoy your brazen surreptitious advertising. do you recommend any better source of unbiased information? tell us your favorite!

  9. What is fascinating is that the average Bangkok Thai is dealing with corruption every time he turns around- every time he walks on a broken sidewalk that was only installed two years ago (built in obsolescence)- when he buys his kid a drivers license- or obtains better grades for his children- when he secures a job with the police and when he pays off a cop- he's faced with corruption every time he walks past endless stalls selling fake goods- computer programs- DVDs- when he is 'advised' by a revenue consultant as to how to dodge paying full tax- when he has to deal with customs- ask Thais about corruption in the country- in practically every domain of public life- including the Sangha- And what makes me very sad- is that every Thai middle class PAD supporter- and in fact many farangs- that I have talked to- are convinced that the PAD fight is about corrutpion and that if won, will hail the end of corruption. And I just wish that were the case. But of course it won't make any diffrence- not really- still, in the mind of many of the PAD, I do believe that they think that if Thaksin and his legacy can be erased- somehow the corruption will end. I don't get it. Yet I suppose a sociologist with something to say about collective behavior, about skapegoats- about utopian thinking- might be able to shed some light.

with a bleeding heart i admit to your pessimistic/realistic dim views. but there is always hope & patience! what would you suggest as a better alternative to pad? nothing? what sociologist?? who would listen to him? the pad seems to be - sadly enough - thailands only chance ปัจจุบัน

  10. ....categorically- as fact- that the PPP has a hand in her decision- is disgusting.

who? -do you think- had a hand in the poor dead man's decision to go on a rampage against peaceful protesters with a machete perhaps as his best argument? where did he come from? why did he come to bkk? not a single clue? can anybody on the forum please tell us about his innocent intentions. the poor family can really need a few excuses instead of wild accusations.....

  11. The slain man went near the bridge that PAD occupy. This bridge is actually a public road. ....Ok you may say he had no right to venture onto a public road in Bangkok - because by right of might PAD leadership decides who can or cannot travel anywhere - The PAD demonstrators, mostly young men armed with knives, wooden clubs, golf clubs and iron bars, reinforced PAD guards, numbering about 1,000, at the bridge to protect their protest site. the UDD, which was outnumbered by the PAD, suffered casualties.....

aha mr. clausewitz (the german warrior?) you still try to insist, that the poor man went, ventured, traveled (?) alone and peaceful on a public road and was suddenly and innocently outnumbered by a mob of 1,000 bloodthirsty heavily armed young men. (your friends complained about women, grannies and babies before used as shields against violence). i simply don't buy your stories, that thousands of protesters - peaceful since many weeks - turn suddenly violent because a man traveled on a public road. how many of our readers do you think believe your tear-jerking version? what did this innocent peace-angel hold in his hands? a white dove??

  12. .... so don't forget if sondhi, they will close all borders, no border runs. please reply and tell me simple what you know about the PAD.

you are a joker in permanent_disorder. i don't care and i don't love the pad leaders just like you. but i know and tell you that simply pad are the only people to fight peacefully against corrupt politics. if you see anyone else, please tell the forum!

  13. I propose that we import south pole penguins and build ice factories for them to stay cool,

to replace the current government and parllement, and pay them with 2 fish per day.

To be weighed by the courts each morning. They will act more civilly and better dressed too.

thanx 'animatic' for making me laugh out loud after so many serious arguments....thanx

  14. Your suggestions are VERY dangerous ! how can discussion ever be dangerous? more dangerous is no discusion at all!

    1. banning people who sold votes means you have to ban people who accepted them too and that would be a large majority of the Thai people. That does not mean I agree with vote selling/buying. But you have to reform from within the system, not ban people.

banning the many poor uneducated vote sellers is useless. ban the about 500 wicked rich vote buyers and you are much better off.

    2. Setting MINIMUM education standards for voting rights is plain right DISCRIMINATION Sir ! It's the same as discriminating more than 3 Billion people in Asia and seal their mouths because they didn't have proper eduction, for whatever reason...

"for whatever reason"....i can tell you the reason: big business, arms & weapons dealers and corrupt politicians.

    3. And..WHO the heck is Sondhi .....agree 100%

  15. ...you have dumb people everywhere, just look at this forum, even the dumber PAD BS gets supported.

whats wrong with vote selling anyway? ... why not sell my vote? it's my vote so i want rather sell it instead give away my vote for ...for free? selling is the only way to make profit, select a team by myself will don't change anything. and i am also sure in certain areas voter will sell to their favorite team only. you can not buy everything for money, selling BS on a saucer is much easier.

are you 'permanent_disorder'? aren't you?? so you take pleasure in calling people on this forum dumb 15h ago and your 'flaming' post is still here. and you postulate vote buying? and your promotion & appeal for crimes against democracy is still here, on this noble forum? maybe you feel supported by the powers to be? i am just disgusted! i don't buy your 'BS on a saucer'........

  16. Most of what I have seen tonight is the same old crap. Along with a lot of insulting. inflammatory and derogatory comments. Any news post from TOC is highly suspect. Remember who its associated with.

so which channel or what source of information do you suggest? but remember, who's associated with!

  17. I just got a visit from a TOT technician. He told me that I should switch off the modem if I don't use the computer, otherwise the modem is getting too hot. Is this standard and good advice ?

don't worry. the modem is less vulnerable than a hard disk coz it has no moving mechanical parts. but sure no device likes excessive heat. i live in thailand many years, with various desktops, laptops and modems. the modems never failed, the desktop memory has corroded contacts (clean with soft rubber, 3 baht) the hd failed after riding around with motorbike (save often!). since a few years now i have adsl and comp & modem are running 7/24. absolutely no problems despite no a/c. the tot technician is a silly idiot. typical thai excuse. the problem is very likely not the modem, but more often that they promise you too much speed, while they only extend after you complain. so complain often, at least every 3 month
