  1. Here here,

Get rid of the scum !!!

how do you define scum old chap?

Are people who sell alcohol to others in the same boat?

Is hilltribe farmer who knows know better way to feed his family, scum?

Are the legal fag dealers, the ones who target kids, scum?

Yours is the typical base reaction,

You simply cannot class everyone the same way. I might call people who makes simple spelling errors moron,s.

    Uneducated, low class fools.

But they,ve probably suffered something in life to prevent them from getting it right.

By the way, you should of been ' hear, hear.

    See, we all makes mistakes.

    In answer to your quote/questions.

1.Scum would be the drug dealers who induce other persons to grow, sell, traffic or use an illegal substance.

    2. Alcohol is legal and those who sell it to minors are scum.

    3. The hilltribe farmer did grow food for his family and others until scum came and made an offer of a lot of cash if he grew plants which could be turned into drugs.

    4. Cigarettes are legal and yes the person selling them to minors is scum, I presume you mean cigarettes when you say fag, as the term fag commonly refers to homosexual?

    5. I would not class anyone, as an uneducated low class fool if they makes spelling mistakes.

    6. How is spelt with a capitol when starting a sentence. Moron's is not spelt with a comma.

The death penalty is still given in Thailand for drug dealers who sell, deal or are in posession of a certain ammount of an "A" Class drug. I am all for the death penalty, as there are enough warnings all over the country and the world for that matter, that state the death penalty will be enforced.

  2. I am on the management committee of a condo in Pattaya. Our Committee is currently having some difficulties with our management company in dealing with maintenance issues within a reasonable timescale. We are consistently told that they cannot identify a suitable contractor for work and that firms will not quote for the work we need done. At present we have a number of issues:

    - We have water leaks from the ridgeline of the roof. We need someone to inspect and replace and seal any broken tiles

    - In the swimming pool area there are areas where the sandwash is cracked or broken

    - We need to install parking bollards to prevent cars getting too close to enerence doors

Can anyone suggest reliable contractors for any of these tasks.

Contact POI at Golden Homes Pattaya on 0868268821, they have excellent contractors working directly for them. They will give you a quote after inspecting the job. I have used them a couple of times and the work was excellent and did not cost the earth. Good luck.

  3. I have BTV known as Banglamung Cable Net. Speed great 2 Mbps in fact sometimes a bit more. Cost Modem B 6000, Installation B 1500, Monthly rental B 1590. Inital connection costs total B 9090.

And yes it does go through CAT which is the best in Pattaya and guaranteed by CAT. However if you wish to have High Speed via CAT alone and not BTV, CAT charge B 2500 a month for the same speed.

BTV had threats of bombing their office last week and have had their cable cut outside 7/11 off Laplae Rd, competition obviously dont like them as they are taking business away. GOOD SERVICE.

  4. Replying to my own post , have just found a heap of posts & it has just made it more confusing than ever. We have NEVER smoked in a Restaraunt , but it seems that the niteclubs & Bars are out as well????

How's Lams House of Rock & The Blues Factory , that type of Venue affected . ???

You cant smoke in any Government buildings, no bars or clubs with Air cons or enclosed buildings or any bars with no smoking stickers on the premises. No smoking where any food is eaten or prepared and no smoking at any markets. There is a B2,000.00 for anyone caught by the police of security. There is also a B2,000.00 fine for throwing your cigarette butt on the ground. So there you have it

  5. I have used TOT GoldCyber ADSL services for 3 years and as all of you are well aware, TOT has blocked video streaming sites such as YouTube. Actually, I have been unable to view any videos from any source in over 6 months now. I live on a compound off Soi Khaw Noi and want to make a switch. My service had been out or the past 2 days and while talking to the service technician, he confirmed that TOT, being a government owned or controlled, whichever, company does indeed block YouTube. I asked him as to why I am unable to view videos from other sites, but he didn't have an answer.

I'm looking for the best service provider in my area. I presently have a TOT phone line and would prefer to find a good provider that could use the existing TOT line because there is generally a waiting list to obtain a new phone line connection, but if not, I am willing to make the switch. I want to make sure that I sign-up with a provider that doesn't restrict the viewing of flash videos such as YouTube.

I welcome your suggestions and if possible, could you provide contact information and/or package prices. I presently have the 2G/512K TOT GoldCyber package. I want to get it right this time!

    Thanks,

    Pattayadavid

I have tried them all, TOT, TT&T, True, CLoxinfo and Ji-net. Today I put on BTV Banglamung Cable Net. You will find them on www.pattayabtv.com Cost per month 1590Bt. Initial cost was 9090Bt for cable modem, installation and 1 month rent. Speed 2Mbps/512K 1590Bt P/mth, or 1Mbps/512K 990Bt P/Mth. No more phone connection problems, direct cable. My Download speed today at 3PM was 1820Kbps and Upload Speed was 460Kbps. I saw them this morning and was up and running at 2.30PM. They wanted me to sign up for cable TV but I told them I was signed up for 1 Yr to Sophon so they put the cable net on for me. Speed is great.

    All the best OZEMADE

  6. Hi,

Initially, I had been leaning toward the CR-v and then to the Fortuner but now I've decided to go with Isuzu's MU-7 3.0 diesel Gold Series. Knowing a lot of things are subjective, I'm figuring that:

    PROS

Engine - the MU-7's 3.0 diesel can hang with (is very compatible to [in stats/performance]) Fortuner's 3.0 diesel.

Interior - the MU-7 beats the Fortuner's plastic-like amenities, more passenger seating comfort and the DVD/audio system...!!

    CONS

    - no electric seats?

    - exterior styling is somewhat plain .

So what are some of your pros, cons, observations and other comparisons of Isuzu's cool(?) MU-7 Gold Series to other SUVs?

I have a 2 year old ISUZU LS 5 seater, automatic pick up. It has 4X4 on the fly in other words you can put it into 4 wheel drive at 100 Ks an hour. It is Turbo Charged and has a power booster switch, it rides well, is fitted out well, has great brakes, steers well and all the modern cons as they all get today and all this is standard.

Re your Honda CRV, it is a constant 4 wheel drive which makes it eat the fuel up and wear the tyres out in no time, my mate just got rid of his and bought the same as I have.

  7. As the United States Dollar strengthens against the Thai Baht we are on the verge of 32 Thai Baht to one U.S.Dollar.

Does anyone think their might be a chance of 35 Thai Baht to one Dollar by the end of the year?

    Barry

Not a chance as the housing sales just went down 20% and if you look at the exchange rate it is only 30.45 now and the price of oil just went up again.
  8. I live on the dark side and thought a best eateries and pub's / bars for the dark side would be good as there seems very little information available for what is over here.

Usually when I want a beer or some food I cross over Sukhumvit and theres only 2 places I've really been to over here, the new Kiss eatery on Soi Siam CC has OK food 24 Hours a day and occasionally I have had a beer in Lucky Time bar on Soi Nernplubwaan, the bar is OK but I would suggest that you avoid the food, not good.

Has anybody tried the pub on Soi Khao Noi called the Red Lion, I was given a recommendation but every time I drive past it seems empty ?

Anyway c'mon you dark siders let's get some quality info on the dark side.

Try the OUTBACK Bar on Siam Country Club Rd near the reservoir, great company, icy cold beer and great food all for the right price.
