  1. The tiling work on my patio is almost complete, as this has been paid for by my landlord and includes some roof repairs I cannot tell you exactly what the labour cost are. (Material supplied by the landlord) He has quoted your job at 5,500 Baht for 3 days work. (All material supplied by you) I can tell you that the 2 guys doing the work are doing a very good job and I can highly recommend them. If you're still looking it may be worth your while to give him a call. Khun Sanan Tel: 0871846120. His English is limited so you would need a Thai speaker handy when you call.

    Good luck

  2. All the Pattaya papers are good value :o . How could they not be, with the abundance of stories the place generates ?

Oh I see, so it's the docility of Chiang Mai that is the problem, not the CMM, do we have more law abiding citizens than Pattaya? Or are we just better house trained. :D

  3. Has anybody noticed that, despite their photographer/reporter being present, Chiang Mai Mail did not bother to report on the recent move of the Chiang Mai ExPats Club to its new venue at the Shangri La Hotel. It seems a strange omission to me that the premier English Language newspaper in Chiang Mai would thus neglect to cover this major event of the premier English Language social club in Chiang Mai. :D

Chiangmai Mail is a "fish and chips wrapper" and an absolute waste of paper when it comes to anything else. :o

At least it is not a complete waste of paper. :D Or try the on-line version, if nothing else, it's a paper saver, albeit maybe a time waster. Following it's long absence from the Chiang Mai media environment a year or so back it promised so much more when it returned and IMO hasn't delivered (excuse pun) Maybe yet another shake-up is needed. How does it compare with it's sister paper Pattaya Mail?

  4. It was my accountant who has helped me setting up my business, a partnership limited, and with my workpermit.

She helped friends of mine setting up their Co. ltd. She's been always a good and reliable help.

If interested I can send you by pm her contact details.

    Nienke

Thanks Nienke, sounds just what I'm looking for.

    Please pm me.

    Cheers

    TB

  5. Before I try out those mentioned in the excellent "Recommend....." thread, was wondering if anyone had experiences, good/bad with the local lawyers during their time of setting up business here in Chiang Mai and what would be a reasonable amount to set aside for legal fees for the overall process of forming a Limited Partnership with 3 shareholders.

If it's allowed, names and contact numbers for the good guys would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    TB

  6. OH MY GAWD!!!! That brings back traumatic memories. Bloed worst (black pudding) with red cabbage and 'EAT TILL IT'S FINISHED'. :o I was about 14 years old when I finally dared to plainly refuse.

Black pudding and oatmeal porridge ... never again :D

    Nienke

Eh, bonnie lass you don't know what's good for you!!! Black ambrosia, straight from the Gods :D

    Gan canny

  7. I found out why restaurants keep the condiments in a basket and bring them to your table when your food comes. Apparantly if the restaurants leave the condiments sitting out they all get stolen.

Who the hel_l steals half a bottle of ketchup?!

    :o

Just joking...a full bottle maybe, but a half!!!

    gan canny
