I am native American ancestry and have hunted with bow all my life so I was sorry to learn hunting is illegal here, though like mekong combat said it does go on as it is a food source for many people. However it isa small game not deer or boar from what I have seen anyway.I have crossbow and also made my own bow but just to shoot targets mostly. Also have tomahawk and used ti throw competitively, which is why I have this forum name, but not much call for it here.I am interested in all this though so if you find out more about bowhunting and such I would be glad to know about it.

Hello Nakhon Sawan farangs.I am very interested in reading the daily writing from farangs in Nakhon sawan.I am in Chiang Mai as I see some others from this forum are too.I also am retired and planning to move to Nakhon Sawan and build house, probably 40 kilos from NS city.I am from Vermont and upstate New York and enjoy fishing ,hiking and all outdoor activities.I am of American Indian ancestry, hence the tomahawk name, but due to problems in past I no longer drink beer or alcohol(firewater) but I like to meet people and keep active.Hope to meet you guys at club or bookstore or anywhere.

Thank you to everyone for kind advice I will try all these places.I love the outdoors and jungle but I think trek they advertise not for me.Probably I am wrong about this but I am half American Indian and hilltribe they say they take you to seems like a reservation to me and I have seen enough of those.Maybe these people don't like the trek idea but on other hand probably the only way they can make money to live si I don't know probably I am wrong. If people have gone camping or jungle on their own I am interested to knmow their stories thank you

At one time back in US I had own school teaching a Phillipino style of escrima and also was instructor for both armed forces and law enforcement in udt and weapons.I am moving to Nakhon Sawan and would be willing to work with people interested in this. Not for money simply for the exercise and to keep busy.If you are interested let me know and I will keep in touch.

I have had my own blacksmith forge both here and in US and hoped to do so here in Chiang Mai.However I know this is one job not permitted for farangs. But I did this for quite a while in rural areas of Thailand with no problem because I did not sell ptoducts or make money, only did it for a hobby and enjoyment, so local police did not care. But here in Chiang Mai it is more urban so maybe it is different.I just wondered if people who have been here a long time would know about this.

Hello Nakhon Sawan
I am coming down to NS next month.Probably around the 17th.I will be thyere only 3 days but I would like to meet any of you guys I can while I am there if possible.Maybe at the bookdstore or Big C or wherever.
Also,I am coming to look at property also, and I have a related question.I once saw an ad for a company which helps farangs get housing loand, but I cannot remember name of company. Also,I thought farangs could not borrow money in Thailand,so I was wondering about this.
Anyway I hope to see you next month
