  1. My 2 years of online teaching with Thai students went pretty well. I run statistics and overall success was down for about 6% compared to non Covid years. What is also true is that incompetence of Thai teachers came to the spot light as parents could see who and how is teaching their children. Most of them are no better in the real classroom. Maybe kids were less interested in the beginning but Thai teachers are interested only in money and the next meal. They replaced education with indoctrination a long time ago. Very sad state of affairs. P.S. not all Thai teachers. Good ones are certainly a minority.
  2. Next frontier for you would be quit smoking cigarettes and start vaping if you want to hang around for a little bit longer.
  3. My homeland in Europe right now if compared to Thai population should have a daily count about 800.000 confirmed cases. .
  4. Clowns are funny. When they panic they are even funnier. ????
  5. These are the latest CCSA's nationwide formal guidelines for booster shots. https://www.facebook.com/thailandprd/posts/4912655058757869
  6. What's the point of staying inside? At my home we have decent windows and doors by Thai standards of course. I have outdoor and indoor 2.5PM sensors and there is not much difference in pollution levels between the two. The indoor air purifier works great if doors and windows are shut. Outside N95 helps as well. It is a sad state of affairs which is never addressed properly. Government is responsible to put in place adequate laws and supervise them. Great changes have to be made in agriculture, waste management, vehicle standards and corporations have to be forced to invest in environment friendly solutions that already exist. At last public campaigns to educate people to stop their silly habits of burning. I'm not optimistic. I'll just dream on.
  7. "Sweep in front of your own doorstep first" I was told by my parents from little feet. As I noticed in Thailand there is a lack of upbringing hence many problems.
  8. I am on my WP for the last year and have Thai Social Security for 15 years. I intend to retire here and continue paying it. Would you be kind enough and send me a PM and tell me how much you pay monthly. Thank you in advance.
  9. You don't understand the strategy here. Tourists will come and spend money for maybe 2 weeks, get infected, banned from travel home. Extended stay in the hospital or ASQ this is how this government plans to double the profits and restart tourism with small number of tourists. ???? Cleaver as they are 555.
  10. As the debate about traffic safety in Thailand is ridiculous, I think my question is somehow related to traffic safety. When will be the prices of imported wine slashed down?
  11. Now, at list 72 hours before departure to Thailand every tourist has to undertake the PCR test as requirement of the airlines. The likelihood to get infected on the way to Thailand is rather small. The likelihood for the tourists to get infected in Thailand while traveling is somehow much more likely as the population is still poorly vaccinated. When the tourist ( presumably with family) wants to return home they have to undertake the PCR test before departure and if it is positive then for instance a two week holiday will be prolonged for at list two weeks. I personally don't know many people who would go and travel far away from their home under this conditions. Am I missing something here?
  12. In Thailand you can legally buy nicotine patches, gums and all kind of pills. By the way non of the helped me to quit smoking but vaping did, instantly.
  13. You don't have many friend then. Here's something to educate yourself -----> https://ash.org.uk/media-and-news/press-releases-media-and-news/in-2019-around-half-as-many-britons-now-vape-as-smoke-and-the-majority-are-ex-smokers/
  14. There is no smoke, there is almost no smell and you have no idea what you're talking about.
  15. Don't worry you'll get your 100 plus in coming burning season. Compared to that vaping is safe as it can get.
  16. French female tourist in March 2019 before the pandemic caught with a vape in Phuket. Worth reading if you vape in Thailand. https://www.motivape.co.uk/blogs/motivape-blog/tourist-in-thailand-arrested-fined-jailed-and-deported-for-vaping
  17. Well if a foreigner is caught using it the police will try to extort 20 -50.000 THB and it won't go to the court. If you don't pay the bribe you are detained until you see the judge or pay bail if possible. As it is a small value of illegaly imported goods you'll get fined 800.00 Baht, deported and banned from entering Thailand for some time. It happened to many tourists (they don't have now) and expats. Now how bad is this?
  18. He has my full support and I hope he's got good bodyguards. A lot of money at stake.
