agree, tough group to get out of that. group h is interesting in heritage terms. think it's a gimme for barca and milan though, pending celtic's home form.

i don't really get why they would pay a world record fee for a player who isn't yet really proven world class. ronaldo was already world class and completely proven at the top level when they paid 80m for him, he'd won everything going. so how come this figure seemed to be established and accepted so early?

It's the fact that he reinvented himself so easily that I love most. Made the simple passing role look a doddle. Such a gifted, intelligent footballer and definitely ahead of his time. I think he was better than gazza. And I never saw enough of best to comment really.
