You can't vote for your own country.
I did not know that, thanks.
I miss the old days when we (UK) were guaranteed 10 points each from Greece and Cyprus. I guess we could thank Prince Philip for that (RIP you old codger - my favourite royal).

I was in my local Lotus in Sattahip and whilst browsing the alcohol shelves and noticed the bottles of Caballo and decided to buy a bottle. Haven't tried it yet but did unscrew the top and have a whiff, the smell was very pleasant, I think it would be a shame to mix it with the likes of Coke or Orange, so shall try it on the rocks later, hic. 🍾
Sattahip is also my local Lotuss, although I haven't shopped there for years - since I have to drive past Big C and Makro to get there. I'm in Surin just now but it's good to know where I can find Caballo when I get home.
IMO it's a nice sip over ice, but I favour a long drink with orange juice.

I just came back from Thailand which I visit twice a year I was the only one worn a seat belt
My car will not move an inch until every passenger has secured their seatbelt. The message was received and understood in less than half a minute.

But they worked... remember 'clunk click every trip'.. or 'only a fool breaks the two second rule'... perhaps Thais needs to see the results of a serious crash in all it's glory, instead of a load of pixilated tosh..
Agreed. They were very effective public safety campaigns - supported by effective, targeted policing. I'm not sure the police here would be capable/willing to provide the necessary support.

When one vehicle impacts another (or an inanimate object) there is a second impact, the occupants of each vehicle striking the interior. The third impact is the internal organs and brains of each occupant striking their ribcages/skulls. Either of these last two impacts can be fatal if the first is not. This is literally how seatbelts save lives.
This UK public service ad was/is disturbing, but explains the possible consequences of not wearing seatbelts ...

I don't know why, but Thai police seem to excel in gaining confessions. Maybe it's the 50% reduction in punishment for a guilty plea, or maybe it's tying plastic bags over the suspect's head.

Could she give you power of attorney for a single withdrawal from her account?

No. Other way round.
There are signs explicitly forbidding left turn on red light.
You seem very certain.
I can't see anything in the Land Traffic Act, except that one must stop at a red light. I have seen signs forbidding left turns, but I have also seen signs permitting left turn (which would suggest that permission is required).
Do you have a link to the traffic law, or regulation?
Not challenging you, just looking for clarification.

I thought turning left at a red light was legal, provided the road is clear and there is no sign saying wait.
My understanding is that a left turn on red is only allowed if there is a sign allowing it. So, in the absence of a sign one must stop.

Its no wonder they dont want competition. 40+k loss to all of them.
Sounds like a classic "bait and switch". Advertise a non-existant product at a low price, hoping to sell a different product at a higher price.

To be serious for a moment. The "Sufficiency Economy" is very much associated with the late King.
Taking the pee out of His ideas was bound to result in outrage (genuine, or faux), so it's no surprise that a complaint has been filed.
Of course, it is possible that the comedy sketch was intended to cause outrage. No publicity is bad publicity - as the saying goes.

I would agree, but a hint of banana.

Nothing wrong with being a cheapskate, if it tastes good why not. I will give it a try should I come across it, is the taste neutral or does it have a particular flavour.
I am by no means an aficionado of spirits. However, I would say that it is not a neutral flavour - more of a hint of fruit - banana.
I have a bottle in the freezer, so I'll just pour a drop (neat) and remind myself of the taste.

Does it taste similar to anything you know of?
the ratio of alcohol content to price is generally the best way to determine the attractiveness of a given spirit….
I can't say that it tastes similar to any other spirits that I might imbibe. I'd admit that I tasted a pleasant hint of banana - but that could be some sort of 'auto suggestion' from reading the label.
In any case 199THB for 750ml of 40%ABV seems pretty good value - and it definitely does not taste like paint stripper, like some of the other Thai spirits - IMO.

At the risk of seeming to be a cheapskate alcoholic, I would like to recommend Caballo. It's a 40% ABV spirit and only 199THB for a 750cl bottle.
The only place I've found it so far is in Lotuss's Surin. But I expect it's available elsewhere.
I'm pretty certain that when I first saw it, a couple of years ago, the label described it as a 'distilled banana spirit'. However, that description does not appear on the label of the bottle I bought most recently.
IMO this spirit is quite pleasant to be sipped neat, and can make a nice long drink with coke or orange juice and ice.

Do the Navy normally do road patrols ? That's news to me.
Anyway well done all for helping someone.
RTN personnel are quite often seen directing traffic in Sattahip. Not sure about routine road patrols, but I wouldn't be surprised.
